Birthday Wishes Stamp TV Sketch Challenge

Funny story! I stayed up into the wee hours of the morning to complete the sketch challenge on Stamp TV Monday night into Tuesday morning... so I go to post my card on Tuesday and the entries needed to be uploaded by Monday evening! HA!! Can you tell I have been out of the stamping loop for awhile! Oh well, it was a fun card to make anyway! I have been doing so many clean and simple cards, that it was a challenge to add some layers and details! I also have been using a lot of white for my cards so this seems really dark!!! For the focal image background I used the polished stone technique, and used the stamps from GKD set Elegant Flowers. I stamped the background of the main card with french script and embossed the side panel using a su texture plate, and used a Martha border punch to layer that panel. Instead of using a paper panel I decided on a sheer ribbon, and added three gold brads at the bottom. That's all for now, thanks for looking!

White Christmas Card Challenge

This week Stamp TV has a White Christmas Card Challenge. This sounded like a challenge for me and my clean and simple self! I went through my Christmas embossing folders...I didn't realize how many I actually have?! Yikes, I think I have an addiction to embossing folders! I decided on this one, because the bottom of the image had a great space for this sentiment from Gina K's set Let it Snow. I added a thin border of navy blue to the embossed image and attached it to the base of the card. Then I had to add some glitter to the tops of the houses and to the falling snow, which is hard to see in the picture.

Thanks for looking!

Another Reverse Nestabilities Card

I guess I really like this technique! My tiger lilies are in full bloom now, they are mostly red and a splash of orange in the center of each petal. I tried to duplicate this... My ribbon is colored with copic markers, I was surprised how hard the ribbon got after drying. But the ribbon matches perfectly!

CAS Weekly Challenge

This is a card I made for the SCS Clean and Simple challenge this week, and Sharon from No Time to Stamp's blog. The theme for this week's challenge was heroes in honor of Memorial Day, and Sharon's challenge was to use the colors of your country's flag. My grandparents were all veterans of WW2, so I am honoring them today, along with all of the individuals fighting for our country today, with this card by saying "thanks a bunch."

Card details: Su embossing folder, red and blue gems and pearls, su scallop oval, large oval, verve sentiment, ribbon?

Reverse Nestabilities

This week on Stamp TV Gina had a video called reverse nestabilities, where you pop up the card front of your card after die cutting your shapes with nestabilities. I had to give it a try! I used the iris stamp from Gina K,and colored it with copic markers. Next I cut out a square that would frame the iris image and embossed it with the swiss dots cb embossing folder. On the lightest purple I cut out and embossed the label and fancy label for the focal image and my sentiment. I stamped my sentiment and popped up the entire card front with pop dots. I really like the look of this card, you'll have to give it a try! Check out the video reverse nestabilities. Thanks for looking!

Clean and Simple Challenge 3

Well this picture is the best I could get. It is hard to take pictures of white base cards! This is my card using pop dots. I cut out and embossed the scallop circle, and put the mango color behind it. Then I cut out and embossed my focal image and popped it up in the center. The focal image is from Amuse and I added sparkles to the bridal gown. The patterned paper and ribbon are both by Martha, and the stamp is by Serendipity that I bought at a rummage. Spring Card for Clean and Simple Challenge Round 3

Great news, guess who made it to the semi-finals for the Clean and Simple Design Team....me! Yeah! For this round we are to make a card that uses pop dots and a movable card. I'm having picture issues today, but this one finally turned out. This is the movable card for the challenge, it springs out at you when you open it up! The base of the card is crate patterned paper. I matted the focal image with lime green to make it pop a little bit. The stamp is by Penny Black, and I added some color using copic markers. The sentiment is from Papertrey's mega mixed messages, and lastly I added a dragonfly brad. This was a fun card to make! Thanks for looking, and hopefully I can get a good picture of my card that uses pop dots!
