Hello stampers!  I'm here to share a card that I made for the Featured Stamper Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  Here is the card I CASED:

I started by stamping, die cutting, and coloring the florals and sentiment.  Next I embossed a white panel measuring 4.5"x3.25", and embossed it with the Criss Cross Floral embossing folder.  I matted this with a black mat, and adhered it to the fresh freesia card base.  To finish the front I adhered all of my die cut florals and sentiment.  For the inside I replicated the white and black layers.  I stamped the sentiment and a floral image and colored it in.

Hello Stampers!  I'm here to share a card I made using the sketch of the week over at Freshly Made Sketches.

I started with the patterned paper, I cut it into 1 1/4inch by 5 1/4 inch strips. I adhered these to a white card base.  For the circle I die cut a spider web.  I added spider with googly eyes to the web.  Then I die cut the boo sentiment and banner and adhered them to the card.  For the inside I stamped some spider webs and a sentiment.  Super CAS card today!

Hello Stampers!  I have another Halloween card to share with you today.  I used the sketch over at Sunday Stamps.  

For my card I started with the die cut.  I die cut all of the pieces, and  ink blended the pieces to add some dimension.  I assembled the pieces onto a black circle that I die cut with the Waffle Flowers circles die.  Next I embossed the card front with the swirls of magic embossing folder.  Then I adhered the circle to the card front.  To finish the front I popped up the ghost with dimensionals, and stamped, punched out, and adhered the boo! sentiment onto the card.  For the inside I stamped a sentiment, and added the ghost and bats.

65th Anniversary

Hello Stampers!  My Mother-in-Law requested that I make a 65th Year Anniversary card for her sister and brother-in-law.  I looked up the color for 65 years of marriage and it is sapphire.  I did get some inspiration from Pinterest for this card.   

I liked the florals they used and the layout of the card.  To start this card I stamped the sentiment.  I had to do this 3 times (3 times a charm!) before I got one that was straight!  Then I die cut the stitched label in silver and matted my sentiment with it dimensionals.  Next up were the flowers.  I stamped the flowers in night of navy onto boho blue cardstock, and punched them out.  Next I used the sprig punch and punched out silver and night of navy sprigs and layered them behind the flowers.  For the white background I embossed it with the softly woven embossing folder.  I added a boho blue mat behind this, and then adhered it to the night of navy card base.  Then to finish the front I simply adhered everything down.  For the inside I stamped the sentiment in night of navy ink and then stamped the flowers with boho blue ink in the corners.  And that completed this card.

I also made this card for the CAS Christmas Challenge: Woodland Critters.

For my card I started with a Kraft card base.  Next I cut a riding hood red panel, and die cut the pine frame.  From here I die cut and assembled the reindeer.  After this I heat embossed the sentiment.  For the ribbon treatment, I adhered the ribbon and tied on some May Arts twine.  For the inside I heat embossed the sentiment and tree.  Easy Peasy this week!

Hello Stampers! I'm back to share a card I made for the Sunday Stamps Color Challenge: Just Beachy

 

I chose to ink blend these colors onto my tag as a background to my spooky scene.  After I ink blended the background I created a scene with the dies and stamps from Oh My Fright.  I finished the tag off by tying on some linen thread around the gingham ribbon.  Next I cut my card base and embossed the front with the Swirls of Magic embossing folder.  Now to assemble.  First I adhered the star swirls to the card base, and then I popped up the tag with dimensionals.  For the inside I used stamps and dies from the Oh My Fright sets, and the little jack o lantern is from the Trio of Tags dies set.  That's all for now!

Hello Stampers!!  I made this card using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches:

I started my card with the focal image.  I had a couple different poinsettia die sets and chose to use the Stampin' Up set.  So I die cut and embellished the poinsettia with some gold gems in the center of the flower.  Then I die cut the flourish and adhered my poinsettia to it.  I had this positioned onto some white cardstock, but I felt it needed some texture.  So I die cut a white layer with the papertrey ink cover plate.  I added some ribbon and a sentiment and adhered my elements to the white layer.  I added a gold mat, and adhered it all to a cherry cobbler card base which is 5x5.  For the inside I heat embossed the sentiment.

Hello Stampers!  Well as much as I don't want summer to end, I have to go back to school for inservice tomorrow.  I am going to miss all of my crafty afternoons in my craft room.  Back to being a weekend crafter. :( 

For today's card I used the sketch from Sunday Stamps.  Here is the sketch:

I saw a tutorial on Facebook this morning that I wanted to try, and this sketch allowed me to do so.  For my focal image I added ink to the sunflower with blending brushes.  Then when I was done I swiped the secret sea ink pad over the top and wow does that make the sunflowers pop!  I love it!  I matted my focal image with secret sea card stock.  Then I cut out a layer of green patterned paper for the strip across, and I adhered both to a white card base.  I had this birthday sentiment left over from a card I made this afternoon, and it fit perfectly onto this card.  For the inside I simple stamped and matted a sentiment.

As soon as I saw this card I thought of the blooming sunflower image by Gina K.  I stamped, die cut, and colored in my image.  Then I picked out some patterned paper, and created the background like her card has.  After this I stamped and die cut the sentiment.  For the last component I decided to use the greenery background die on the front card base.  To finish it off I adhered it altogether, and added a couple of gems for some sparkle.  For the inside I stamped and die cut the sentiment and matted it with the same burlap dsp as the front.  I decided that it needed a bit more color so I added a strip of the patterned paper as well.

Hello Stampers!  I made a card today for the Just Add Ink Challenge.  The challenge was to pick two from the following choices: Gingham, Circles, Flowers, or Sequins.  I picked gingham and flowers for my card.  I started my card by assembling the sunflower die cut.  I cut out the pieces and then inked up the edges of the sunflower petals and the leaves.  Next I found some black gingham paper for the bottom portion of the card.  After this I decided to emboss the top portion of the card.  Once I had this embossed I taped the embossed portion and the gingham portion together on the back.  I did this so I could hide the twine from the inside of the card.  I wrapped the twine around the seam of the two pieces of paper three times.  Next I adhered the sunflower, and added a twine bow.  To finish the front I stamped and die cut the sentiment.  I cut the mini dimensionals in half to adhere the sentiment.  For the inside I embellished it with the gingham DSP and added a sentiment.  And that completes my card!

Hello Stampers!  I'm poppin' in to share a card I made for two challenges: Splitcoaststampers Ways to Use It: Stripes, Doodled Lines, or Linewash and the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.

 

For my card I started with the diagonal lines.  I found some Cuttlebug embossing strips in my collection that would work perfectly for these lines.  First I embossed the hexagons, then I had an embossing strip with just dots and I embossed the dots on each side of the hexagons.  So then it was onto the bees.  I stamped and fussy cut these out.  I arranged them onto the card, and decided to stamp some of the bee trail for the bottom and top bees.  After this I popped up the bees with the bee trail and tucked in the third bee.  I decided to add a little bling with some clear gems.  And to finish the front of the card I stamped my sentiment.  For the inside I used the hexagon embossing strip and made another bee to embellish it.

Hello Stampers!  I made this card for two challenges: Splitcoaststampers Clean and Simple: Gems and CAS Christmas Challenge: Santa's Sleigh. For my card I started with the focal image.  I stamped it on Eclipse masking paper and then fussy cut it out.  Next I stamped the focal image on white card stock and die cut it with one of the everyday arches dies.  I applied the masking paper onto the image and then ink blended a night sky.  I removed the masking paper, colored in the images with Copic markers, and added some gems.  I decided to mat this image in black.  For the card base I die cut it with the snowfall card front die, and then adhered my focal image onto the card base.  For the inside I used the same everyday arches dies and stamped a sentiment.

Hello Stampers!  It is Featured Stamper Sunday over at Splitcoaststampers.  Here is the card that I CASED (the bottom right card):

For my card I used an embossing folder for the focal panel in place of the dsp.  I matted this panel with poppy parade.  For the card base I embossed it with the softly woven embossing folder.  I used a die cut sentiment in place of a stamped sentiment.  For the background of the sentiment I ran that through the same embossing folder as the card base, and then adhered the sentiment on top.  Behind the sentiment I twisted some white baker's twine.  I thought it needed just a little something so I stamped and fussy cut out the coffee and nestled it into the sentiment. I popped up both the sentiment and the coffee.  For the inside I duplicated the same layout.  I stamped, die cut, and matted the sentiment.  And then added the same coffee as the front.

Make a Splash

Hello Stampers!  I made this card using the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.

For my card I started with the circle elements of the sketch.  I used the Splash and Relax dies to use for these elements.  For the strip of paper of the sketch I stamped the sentiment on white card stock and then snipped the ends so the ends would have a slanted edge.  For the piece under the sentiment I went with a strip of lemon lime twist.  Next I cut a piece of pool party card stock and embossed it with the soft waves embossing folder.  To finish I adhered everything together, and then added some bling.  For the inside I die cut the flip flops and sunglasses and adhered them in the corner, and then for the sentiment I stamped it on white and matted it with a scalloped rectangle.  And that completes my card.

Hello Stampers!  Fall is creeping up pretty quickly!  I go back to school in 2 weeks!  Yikes!!  Yesterday I crafted with my mom and sister and I think I have all of my Christmas cards and Christmas tags done.  What a relief it is to have them completed!  So I switched gears a bit and went for a fall card.  For this card I started with the coffee.  I stamped, die cut, and then colored it in with copics, and then matted it with some pumpkin pie card stock.  I also added some twine behind the focal image.  I have seen other crafters do this and thought I would give it a try. I selected some patterned paper and die cut a fishtail flag to go behind the focal image.  For the white background layer I used the Pattern of Friendship die and ran it through the die cut machine.  Then I turned the die 90 degrees and ran it through again so it would match the pattern of the paper.  I should note when using cover plate dies you often have to use a stronger adhesive like Score Tape, otherwise it is not very secure on your card.  For the inside I kept it simple.  I adhered the patterned paper strip and then added the sentiment that I stamped and punched out.

Snowy Winter

Hello Stampers!  I made a card today for the Free 4 All Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  The theme is Countdown to Cool, make a winter card.  I was excited to make this card, because I watched Jennifer McGuire demonstrate a technique I wanted to try.  She used 3D embossing folders on black glossy paper, and then she used Tim Holtz Distress Sanding Disks to sand off the black layer of the glossy paper.  Here is the video tutorial I watched: Embossing Folder Technique Showcase.  I thought of using a snowflake embossing folder and then the snowflakes would be white on the black glossy paper.  I tried it and I love the look of it.  So after I made the black sky, I die cut two layers of snowy hills to the bottom for my wintery images.  I have had these images on my desk forever, and I am so happy they worked out on this snowy card.  I matted this layer with silver cardstock and adhered it to the white card base.  For the inside I simply stamped and die cut a sentiment.

Cardinal Snowman

Hello Stampers!  I made this for the CAS Christmas Card Challenge.  The theme for the challenge is snowman.  I went through my stamps and found this snowman stamp.  I stamped the image, colored it with Copics, and then die cut it using the rectangle framelits.  I matted it with basic black card stock.  For the background I cut out a white panel, die cut it with the card front die, wrapped the gingham ribbon around it, and finished off the ribbon treatment with a twine knot.  Next I popped up the snowman and adhered it to the card panel.  After I had it on the card I thought it needed some bling, so I added some gems to the largest snowflakes on the card panel.  For the inside I again die cut a snowflake background out of white card stock.  Next I stamped the sentiment, die cut it, and adhered it to the inside of the card.

For my card I started by die cutting a large white circle, and then I filled it with summer die cuts. Next I cut a piece of coastal cabana 4.25x8.5 and scored it at 4.25.  I embossed the card front with the soft waves embossing folder.  For the sentiment I stamped it in coastal cabana and die cut it with a sentiment strip die.  For the inside I added a few summer die cuts.
