Happy Easter!

Stampendous had the cutest bunny stamps out for Easter! I thought they would be perfect images to use on my nieces and nephew's Easter cards! I also had inspiration from the FTL 84 sketch for these cards. That sketch sure got my mojo back into the swing of things!! :)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a Happy Easter!!

Loved the CAS sketch!

What a fun sketch this was over at Clean and Simple! I liked it soooo much that I made three cards using the flower from Looks Like Spring, and the Amuse sentiment birthday wishes. The first two patterned papers are from Basic Grey 6x6 paper pads, and the last one is Flower Shower by DCWV. I also made an Easter card using this sketch I'll be posting it tomorrow!

Thanks for Looking!!

Happy Birthday!

This CAS card is for layout 82 on the Clean and Simple blog. I love these sketches and I think this is the challenge that I have missed most while not stamping. I think I will be making more cards using this sketch, it was so quick and easy! I loved the look of Natasha's sample using the white embossed image on the colored cardstock, so I decided to use the same technique! While I was sitting at my desk I saw my two memento ink pads grey and green next to each other and thought what a cool color combo! Needless to say...I was inspired!

Tim Holtz Dies!

I can't believe it has been over a month since my last post! We have been busy fixing up our house with a new sink, faucets, light fixtures, and new furniture! Needless to say I have not had much time to stamp. But this weekend there was a stamping rummage and time for scrapbook shopping afterward. I went to Archivers and to my suprise they had Tim Holtz's new line of Sizzix Die Cuts. I was intrigued by this die cut: Sizzix on the Edge Die: Bracket. When I got it home I had to try it out. The die cut edge measures 5.5 inches, perfect for the bottom of a card. As with any new product there is a learning curve...but after a couple of times it was easy to line up. I think it would have been helpful to have a guide on the die to make alignment easier. But I love the clean cut look of the edge! I didn't have much time to play so I just made a quick card. But I am looking forward to experimenting more with this die cut.
