We're Moving!

This summer I redid my scrapbook space and had everything in order, and then we found a house to buy... We are closing tomorrow (yeah!) and are able to clean, paint, and move in some things this weekend. Then Labor Day weekend is moving day! So I spent yesterday packing all of my precious scrapbooking supplies into boxes. I will have a similar space in our new home, so I am anxious to get all of my supplies out of those ugly boxes!! Needless to say, I will not be able to post until sometime after Labor Day (this is when I will finally get internet access)

So I thought I would post some pictures of my scrapbook space and share them with you, and then the sad boxed up images I have to look at until I am unpacked..:(

My poor stuff...

Keep checking back, I'll post pictures of my new space (and hopefully new cards) when it is all set up!

Enjoy your upcoming Labor Day weekend!

No stamps?!

Eeek! I didn't use any stamps?! I was using the technique of the week from Stamp TV, inking your cuttlebug folder, and I guess I got carried away with the technique!! I started with the Halloween Sign cut and emboss combo, inked up the folder with cloud white versamagic ink for this one. Then I added the jack o lantern face from one of the new ek success punches!! Next, I inked up the spider web cb folder with the same white ink on chocolate chip cardstock. Added a cb spider, inked up the legs, and added googlie eyes. Lastly, I attached the green ribbon through the slot punch and tied it with twine. This is a fun technique, and I love the contrast it gives to the embossing folders! Check out Stamp TV for the video tutorial, see link on my sidebar.

Happy Birthday Dad!

It's been awhile again..my relaxing days of summer have been quite busy!! It was my Dad's birthday over the weekend, the big 60! I gave him the bottom card of the two. I like the contrast of the browns in the second one. I made the top one first and thought it needed another layer of color.

The layout for this card is an old Mojo Sketch. I loved the sketch but didn't have time to participate when it was posted. All of the stamps are Stampin' Up. The goose is an old stamp that I picked up at a rummage called Goose Greetings. My parents always have geese in and around their yard, so I found this image fitting for Dad. The patterned paper is an old sandy lion paper called crinkled umber. For the tools I used: nestabilities, deckle edge scissors, corner punch by ek success, brads, jumbo eyelets, cb houndstooth embossing folder, copic markers, and a sponge for sponging the focal image and tag.

Frugal Stamper

My local scrapbook store had a 40% of coupon and I was able to get this spellbinders set, that I have had my eye on since it came out. So I was very excited to use it! The stamps are from whipper snapper, they have a "pool of rubber sale" during the summer at their warehouse and I was able to get these stamps for 1 dollar each!! I colored my images with copic markers, and sponged the focal image with sahara sand ink. The patterned paper is by Chatterbox, it is an old design. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby, 50% off!!! And the last component was the self adhesive pink gems! Oh and I forgot the cardstock is from Archivers, I had a coupon where you purchase 5 sheets of cardstock and then you received 5 free! So as you can see I am a frugal stamper, I really try to save where I can because I seem to have to "have" everything!

Welcome Baby

This is a CAS sketch from last week on SCS. I did actually make it last week, but was too busy to post all of the details. For the envelope I followed Julie's tutorial on making a square card fit in an a2 envelope! I think it turned out so cute, and my card won't be moving around in the envelope! Since this is a CAS card I will simply list the recipe!

Paper: GKD white and brown, PP: My Girl Tiny Flower by Pebbles

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and copic markers

Ribbon: LSS

Punch for envelope: McGill

Thanks for stopping by, keep checking in I have more cards to post!
