Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

In lieu of Earth Day I decided to make a box reusing a tissue box. I sell my cards to my mother-in-law so I thought I would make a box to have a space to put her cards as I finish them. As I completed the box I was really surprised at how strong the box is. It is a really sturdy box! Gina K has a video tutorial on Stamp TV illustrating how to do this. Check it out! I had to alter the measurements a little bit because I used a Puffs tissue box rather than Kleenex. I kept the color scheme and patterned paper the same as the rest of my accessories in my scrapbooking space, and I kept it simple. Thanks for looking!

Fall to Layout

I used the fall to layout sketch 85 from the Clean and Simple Blog for this card. As always it was a wonderful sketch! I just love all of the swirlys in this card, and I actually used my SU embossing folder! It's hard to tell from this picture but I also added self adhesive lime green pearls to the flowers and the sentiment.

Just Ducky!

I found out a few days ago that I am going to be an auntie again! Yeah! It sure seems as though a lof of people are getting pregnant these days! We are all pretty excited and suprised about the news! So I decided to make a baby card! I made this card after making the butterfly cards. I found another background stamp, this one is by savvy stamps. I had wanted to use my duck punch by ek success but the duck was way to small for the circle. So I used my quickutz duck die cut instead. It's pretty cute too! The sentiment is a studio g $ acrylic set. Thanks for looking!

CAS to Embellished

When I bought this dollar background stamp I was hoping that it would fit inside one of the square nestabilities! And to my suprise it did!! I also really wanted to use the beautiful wings embosslit, and I'm glad I did I love this die! When I finished the card, I thought I should have added some ribbon! So I made another card and added ribbon. Then I thought I could add some layers and another butterfly, so I made another. It turned out to be a fun project as I kept adding more embellishments each time! I decided after this one that was enough, since I really like clean and simple cards! Thanks for looking!

Featured Stamper

Pat Smethers is the featured stamper at SCS this week. I found this card, http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1416711?&cat=500&ppuser=76845 and knew this was the card I wanted to case. I didn't have the same bird, so I used the bird from touch of nature, which must be larger than the image used because I would have had to use a really large size of the nestabilities. So I used an oval and a smaller size of the back nestabilities. I also changed the leaf ribbon to the die cut leaves. This was a fun card to make! TFL!!
