Hello Stampers!  It is Featured Stamper Sunday over at Splitcoaststampers!  Here is my inspiration card:
I was drawn to this card because of the use of black.  It really caught my eye.  I also really like the look of the white wash technique.  I heat embossed the floral image and die cut it using a circle die.  Then I did the white wash and let it dry while I finished the card.  To mat this image I die cut the decorative circle out of black, and die cut a white circle to go behind it to highlight the decorative edge.  I also cut out a card base and added a white and a black layer.  By this time my image was dry.  I wanted to add some color on top of the white wash, so I got out my water brush and some melon mambo ink and applied ink to the florals, then I added some old olive to the leaves.  It is very faint but there is some color.  I think I should have used more white ink to allow those colors to stand out.  I took this circle and popped it up on the decorative circle, added some sheer ribbon, and adhered my layers together.  For the inside I did some simple stamping.

Happy Birthday

Supplies:
Stamps: SU Charming Day, Elements of Text, PaperTrey Birthday Basics
Paper: Gina K White, SU Sahara Sand and Sweet Sorbet 12x12 DSP
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Sahara Sand and Espresso
Accessories: Copic Markers, SU Linen Thread, SU Charming Day Dies, Pickett Fence Blending Brush

Hello Stampers!  I am sharing a card I made for the Featured Stamper Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  Here is my inspiration card:

For my card I started by stamping and die cutting my floral images.  Then I needed to find some patterned paper and decide what color scheme to go for.  I found some sahara sand patterned paper with a simple pattern, and that led me to use sahara sand for the card.  I cut a piece of sahara sand and a strip of the patterned paper.  I adhered the patterned paper to the bottom of the cardstock.  I inked up my blending brush with sahara sand and inked up the edges.  Then I used post its to cover up the patterned paper.  I took one of the stamps from Elements of Text and randomly partially stamped this on the top portion of the card.  For the sentiment I used my trusty stamp a ma jib and stamped it in early espresso so it would stand out against the background.  Next I added some linen thread with a bow.  To finish this card panel I used dimensionals to pop up the floral image.  For the inside I cut a sahara sand panel and inked up the edges.  I stamped my sentiment and adhered another floral image.

Well it is back to work tomorrow as my summer vacation has come to an end.  Back to weekend stamping! :(

Hello Stampers!!  I'm here to share a card I made for the Featured Stamper Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers!  Here is my inspiration card:
For my card I started with the gingerbread man.  I heat embossed him, die cut it, and added some peppermints for his buttons.  Then I went through a bunch of dies, to find a fancy circle to go behind the gingerbread man.  I found one in my Spellbinders dies, I'm not sure what the name of the set is.  It is an oldie but goodie.  I popped up my gingerbread man on this circle.  Then I went through my Christmas papers to find a coordinating piece, and found this fun peppermint paper.  I decided to have the patterned paper go down the middle of the card front, and I matted it with some white cardstock.  For the sentiment I stamped it in real red ink, and die cut it with the Stylish Shapes die.  At this point I started to adhere my elements to the red cardstock layer.  I popped up the gingerbread, and before I popped up the sentiment I added some ribbon behind it.  Once everything was adhered I adhered the red layer to the card front.  For the inside I again die cut the fancy circle, but this time in red.  I stamped the sentiment and die cut it out with a circle die cut.  I put a strip of the patterned paper behind this also to complete this card.

That's all for now!!  Thanks for stopping by!!

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Gina K White, Stampin' Up: Sweet Sorbet and Bee Mine 12x12 DSP

Hello Stampers!  I'm back from our week up north!  It was a chilly week but we still had a nice time.  I'm a bit late posting this featured stamper challenge card.  I started it last night, but was not able to finish it.  So this morning I finished it.  Here is the card that I CASED:

For my card I started with the focal image.  I stamped, die cut, and then colored in the image with Copic markers.  Then I matted it with some sweet sorbet cardstock.  For the background I chose to just have one diagonal cut.  I taped the two pieces together on the back, and matted it with some sweet sorbet cardstock.  For the flourishes, I used an oldie but goodie flourish punch from EK Success.  I adhered these to the back of the focal image, and then adhered it to the patterned paper layer.  Once that was in place I adhered the layers together.  For the inside I stamped the sentiment and bees.  And colored in the bees to finish this card.

That's all for now!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello Stampers!  It is Featured Stamper Sunday!  Here is my inspiration:

I chose the card on the left as my inspiration.  I really liked how she used blues instead of greens on her poinsettia, with the accents of gold.  For my card I blended the image using the layered stencils.  Then I die cut the Merry Christmas in gold and outlined it in white, and popped it up onto the focal panel.  Then I added some gold gems.  I adhered this to the real red card front, and then worked on the inside.  I decided to die cut a poinsettia, and heat embossed the sentiment in gold to go with the front.

Hello Stampers!  I'm here to share a card that I made for the Featured Stamper Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  Here is the scrapbook layout that I used as an inspiration for my card:

To start my card I blended a panel with Distress Inks to create the sunset sky.  Then I stamped the pine trees on this panel.  I matted this in black using the dotted border die, it is hard to see this detail in the picture.  Then I adhered this focal image to the DSP, and stamped the the Happy Birthday using my MISTI.  For the inside I stamped the sentiment and added a circle branch border to it.

Mother's Day

Supplies:
Stamps: Stampin' Up Spotlight On Nature, Stampin' Up Mother's Day greeting unknown
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Stampin' Up Bubble Bath
Paper: Gina K White and Stampin' Up Bubble Bath
Accessories: Stampin' Up Delightful Wishes Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Copic Markers, Honey Bee Gems

Hello Stampers!  I made this for two challenges.  The first being the CAS on Friday's theme challenge Spring, and the other Featured Stamper challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  This week we are honoring individuals in the stamping community that have passed away.  One individual in particular, Polly.  And here is the card that I CASED, the last card that she posted on SCS.  For my card I started with the focal image.  I stamped, die cut, colored the floral image, and then added some bling.  I also stamped, colored, and fussy cut out the butterfly.  Then I cut a piece of bubble bath card stock, and die cut the accent corners to frame the focal image.  Before I adhered everything I laid it out to make sure I liked it.  But it was missing something in that bottom left hand corner.  So I decided to emboss the pink layer with a swiss dots embossing folder, Nope!  That wasn't the answer to my problem.  So I started again with the bubble bath cardstock, and die cut the corners.  Then I tried some linen thread.  It looked funny to go over the die cut accent, so I went through the die cut corner!  It added just that little something.  This time I adhered it altogether, and popped up the butterfly with some dimensionals.  For the inside I did some simple stamping.
