Hello Stampers!  It is Featured Stamper Sunday!!!  Here is my inspiration card:

For my card, I started by assembling the carrot bunny die cut.  Then I die cut the scalloped edge layer.  Next I created a circular mask to create a backdrop for the bunny, by ink blending the blue and green.  I adhered the bunny to the backdrop, and added a pom pom for the tail.  for the sentiment I stamped, die cut, and popped it up with some dimensionals on top of the gingham ribbon.  I adhered the scalloped layer to the card base to finish the front of the card.  For the inside I kept it simple, by stamping, die cutting, and adhering it to the inside.

Hello Stampers!  I'm here to share a card that I made for the Featured Stamper Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  Here is the card that I CASED:

For my card I started with the stamping.  I stamped the branch and masked it off to stamp the present and the bird.  Then I stamped the balloon.  Next I colored in the images using Copic markers.  For the balloon string I pierced a hole on the bird wing and in the balloon, and then added the baker's twine through these holes.  To finish the balloon I added a baker's twine bow.  Before I added the sentiment I trimmed down the focal panel to 3 7/8 x 3 7/8.  I added a black mat and adhered this to my card base.  For the sentiment I heat embossed it in white and cut up the words into strips using the sentiment dies.  For the inside I simply completed the sentiment with a large birthday die.

Snow

Supplies:
Paper: Gina K white and kraft, SU cherry cobbler and mossy meadow, Simon Says Stamp fog
Accessories: Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflake Backdrop, Tim Holtz Snow Sidekick Side-Order dies, Honey Bee Gems, May Arts Twine

Hello Stampers!  I went to a Stamp and Scrap Rummage this morning, and I just had to make a card with some of the goodies I got.  The Free 4 All challenge on Splitcoaststampers is: Word Dies, and one of the sets I got had a word die!!  So I started by die cutting the mitten, snowflake, and hat.  Then I cut three squares of kraft paper and embossed them.  I adhered the die cuts to the squares, and then I adhered the squares to the cherry cobbler strip of cardstock.  I left some room to the left to add some twine.  Then I die cut the snowflake background, and adhered it to the card base.  Next I adhered the cherry cobbler strip.  Then it was onto the word die.  I die cut snow three times and adhered them together and then to the card.  For the inside I die cut the same snowflake background, added some white cardstock matted on cherry cobbler and adhered this to the inside of the card.  I die cut another mitten and hat to embellish the inside.  And that completes this card.

Jack O Lantern

Supplies:
Stamps: Stampin' Up (inside)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Distress Inks: Speckled Egg, Walnut Stain, and Shabby Shutters
Paper: Gina K White, SSS Fog, Stampin' Up: Basic Black, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, and Mango Melody
Accessories: Sizzix Tim Holtz Edison, Colorize, Impression Obsession DIE178-C, Waffle Flower A2 and Additional A2 Layers Dies, Pickett Fence Blending Brushes, May Arts Twine, Inside: Martha Stewart Punch and Impression Obsession DIE060-1

Hello Stampers!!  I made it through the first three days of school.  Needless to say I am beat, and was grateful for some time this afternoon to get back into my craft room.  I made this card for two challenges:  Free 4 All: Fiber Friendly on Splitcoaststampers and Freshly Made Sketches.
To start my card I die cut and assembled the Jack O Lantern.  Isn't that Jack O Lantern the best?!  I knew I had to have it when I saw it released.  It is kinda big, but I think it worked out well with this sketch.  Then I had to decide what background I wanted.  I was just going to use Speckled Egg, but when I blended it out I didn't like it.  So I went over to Pinterest and found the blend Walnut Stain, Shabby Shutters, and Speckled Egg and gave that a try.  I liked it much better.  So next I matted the blended piece in black and adhered the Jack O lantern.  It needed a little somethin' somethin'.  I found a grass die and added to the focal panel.  The Edison die comes with such cool clouds and I wanted to incorporate them into my card also.  So I die cut a gray and a white one and adhered them to the focal panel.  Before I adhered the focal panel to the card base I wrapped some twine around the bottom portion to add that layer for the sketch.  For the inside I stamped the sentiment and added some clouds and another Jack O lantern with some smaller grass.

I am almost done with my Halloween cards!! Yay!

Warm Wishes

Supplies: Stamps: SU Winter Wishes Paper: Tim Holtz watercolor paper, Gina K heavy base weight white Ink: Distress Inks: dusty concord, worn lipstick, and tattered rose  Accessories: SU winter wonder embossing folder and sequins
Hello Stampers!  This week's Featured Stamper on Splitcoaststampers is Anna-Karin.  She does a lot of fun techniques!  So I was a bit intimidated because inky techniques often end up in the garbage when I try them.  When I saw this card:

I thought I could try some ink smooshing, but use an embossing folder instead of acetate.  So I used the same color distress inks and inked up my folder.  Then I sprayed it with water.  I used a paint brush to soften the lines of the ink cubes, and ran it through my die cut machine.  I think it turned out OK.  To finish the card I trimmed the focal panel so I could have a white frame, added a sentiment strip, and added some sequins.

That's all for now!  Thanks for stopping by!!

In the Meadow We Can Build a Snowman

Supplies: Stamps: Tim Holtz Tattered Christmas  Ink: SU whisper white, Gina K kraft, VersaMark  Paper: SU real red, chocolate chip, pumpkin pie, old olive, Gina K. white, kraft, and black onyx  Accessories:  Tim Holtz Assembly Snowman, Brutus Monroe alabaster white embossing powder, SU banner punch, baker's twine, blending brushes, Tim Holtz paper distresser, Darice embossing folder

Hello Stampers!  Today on Splitcoast Stampers for the inspiration challenge, the Pinterest board was by Tim Holtz.  I found this pin to use as inspiration for my card.  I also made this for the Free For All challenge on Splitcoast Stampers: use your favorite color combo.  My favorite combo is red, kraft, and white.

To make this card I started with the embossed snowflake background.  Before embossing this panel I used the Tim Holtz distresser around the edge of the panel.  Then I sponged on some white ink to enhance the snowflakes.  Next I tore a piece of white paper for the snow and used the distresser around the edge of the paper.  After this I adhered the snow piece to the background, and I used my blender brush around the edge with kraft ink to distress it.  Next I assembled the snowman, I used my blender brush with kraft ink to distress the edges of the snowman, and adhered it to the card.  For the sentiment I embossed it, turned it into a banner, used my blender brush to distress it, and adhered it to the card.  To finish the card I tied on a baker's twine bow, and adhered the background to the card base.  That's all for now!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

It's Your Birthday!

Supplies: Stamps:  Hero Arts: CardArt Happy Wishes, Gina K Spring Mix  Ink: Versa Fine onyx black, Distress Inks: spun sugar, tumbled glass, shaded lilac  Paper: Gina K heavy base weight white  Accessories: Gina K Large Rectangle Die Set, Tim Holtz butterfly punch, gem, masking paper

Hello Stampers!  I found a couple new CAS challenges to participate in.  The first one is called CAS on Friday.  The challenge on there website is: Use Your Favorite Flower.  This stamp is on oldie but goodie.  I love that you can use it with different techniques.  Gina K had a live Stamp and Chat on blending a background and then stamping an image on top of it, and that is where I got the inspiration for this card.  The second CAS challenge is Addicted to CAS.  The challenge on their website is: Silhouette.  And the third CAS challenge is Perfectly CAS, and their challenge is masking.

This was kinda tricky to figure out how to get the blending in the middle of my embossed frame, without getting any ink on the stitched part of the frame.  So this is what I ended up doing after a couple of glitches along the way.  I cut a piece of masking paper the size of a card front.  Then I placed the die cut in the center of the masking paper and traced the inside of the die cut with a pencil.  Then I cut out the inner rectangle keeping the rectangle in tact.  I placed the rectangle on the center of my card front to make sure it was centered.  Then I took the other piece of masking paper and framed it around the rectangle already in place, and removed the center rectangle.  Then I blended the background of the flowers.  I removed the masking paper, and stamped my flowers using a stamp a ma jig.  Now it was time to emboss the blended background.  I carefully lined up the die cut so there was even spacing around the blended background and taped it in place with purple tape.  I held my breath and hoped for the best!! LOL!  Then I stamped my sentiment and added a butterfly with a gem to complete the card.  I'm happy with how it turned out.  That's all for now!

Thinking of You

Supplies: Stamps: Tim Holtz coffee time  Ink: SU soft suede and Versafine onyx black  Paper: SU very vanilla, soft suede, kraft and white  Accessories: Time Holtz coffee embossing folder, SU wide twill ribbon

I made this card using the sketch challenge on SCS.  I used Tim Holtz's coffee time stamp, die, and embossing folder set.  I was going to stamp the sentiment, die cut it, and adhere it to the ribbon, but I thought that might look strange.  So I thought, stamp on the ribbon!  I wasn't sure how clear it would stamp, but I was pleasantly surprised at the results.

Happy Birthday to You!

Supplies: Paper: Gina K white and Tim Holtz watercolor paper, vellum  Ink: Tim Holtz distress inks  Accessories: embossing folder, stitched circle die, Sizzix birthday die cut, xyron

I made this for two challenges.  The first one being the featured stamper on SCS.  This week the featured stamper is "Rebeccaof" and selected this card to CASE.  I kept the rainbow color scheme by inking up my embossing folder, spritzed it with water, and then ran it through my Big Shot.  I ran a piece of vellum and white cardstock through my xyron machine and then die cut them for the focal image.
The second challenge that I made this card for is the Paper Players challenge.  It was to include die cut images onto your card.

Stenciled Christmas

Supplies: Stamps: Gina K Christmas Greenery  Paper: Gina K white  Ink: Distress Ink: Bundled Sage and Weathered Wood, Memento Luxe nautical blue  Accessories: Tim Holtz Festive Layering Stencil, Claritystamps brushes, Stampin Up ornament die cut and piercing tool, dimensionals, DMC silver thread, piercing tool
This week the featured stamper on SCS is Anita Bakker, she has a wonderful gallery.  I chose to CASE this card from her gallery.  I kept the concept of the layout and the color scheme the same.  I made the following changes: I used a stencil instead of an embossing folder, I stamped a sentiment on my ornament instead of a design, I added piercing around my ornament, and I made my card an A2 size card.

Just a Note

Supplies: Stamps: Flourishing Phrases  Ink: Archival Black ink  Paper: Gina K white heavy base weight and navy  Accessories: Tim Holtz thinlits and white gel pen

This week's featured stamper on SCS is Twila.  I chose this card to case.   I kept the same layout and color scheme.  I used a die cut in place of a stamped image, and I used a white gel pen to match the white embossing on Twila's card.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Coffee Anyone?

Supplies: Stamps: Amuse and Lawn Fawn  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: Gina K Heavy base weight white cardstock  Accessories: copic markers, ribbon, score pal, clear wink of stella marker, glossy accents
The CAS challenge on SCS today is "hot beverage."  I can't imagine starting my day without a cup of coffee, and I love this coffee to go mug stamp.  I added a heart from the Stinkin' Cute stamp set by Lawn Fawn to these coffee cups, applied clear wink of stella to the hearts, and then glossy accents on top.  I scored two lines above and below the ribbon to add some dimension.

Supplies: Stamps: Amuse coffee mug, sentiment ? I bought it at a craft rummage  Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Versamark, Tim Holtz distress inks  Paper: Old Olive and Tim Holtz watercolor paper  Accessories: dimensionals and detail white embossing powder.

I couldn't resist, I had to make another card for this challenge.  I watercolored the brown coffee background and then spritzed on some water to create the water splotches.  Then I stamped the coffee cup twice, cut them out and adhered one to the sentiment and popped the other one up next to it.  My sentiment was embossed on old olive cardstock to coordinate with the card base.

Birdie Birthday

Supplies: Stamps Mini Crazy Bird Set  Ink: Archival jet black, Versamark, Distress Inks: barn door, peacock feathers, and pumice stone  Paper: Tim Holtz watercolor paper, black cardstock by Gina K Accessories: detail white embossing powder, glossy accents, mini crazy bird die set, Tim Holtz birthday die cut, Tim Holtz dot fade stencil, white embossing paste, DCWV twine, paper piercer

Today's challenge on SCS is the Featured Stamper challenge, and the Featured Stamper is Pam.  I chose to CASE this card, and made the following changes: I used one layer for the card base, distress ink and embossing paste to create the "patterned" paper, and I used one layer for my die cut word.  This isn't my typical CAS card, it took me forever!  But it was fun to use so many different products on one card.  I added glossy accents to the balloon and the birthday word die cut.  To make it look like the bird was holding the balloon string I pierced a hole above and below his wing to thread the baker's twine through. And I love the texture that the embossing paste adds to the watercolored background.

First Stenciled Card

Supplies: Stamps: Amuse  Paper: Neenah solar white  Ink: Distress ink: tattered rose, Victorian velvet, milled lavender,  Memento rich cocoa,   Accessories: translucent embossing paste, Clearly Besotted happy die cut, Stampin Up edgelit finishing touches, Tim Holtz lace stencil, twine, spatula, multi matte medium, dimensionals
You Tube has soooo many great tutorials, and I have been watching quite a few.  I recently watched this one, by Kristina Werner, and decided to give this technique a try.  First I mixed my distress ink with the translucent embossing paste one color at a time, applying it to the stencil overlapping the paste a bit in between each color in order to blend them.  Then I had to wait for it to dry....  I decided to make the stenciled portion an angle, and cut a couple slivers of white cardstock and one strip that I die cut with the fancy edge.  Instead of trying to find cardstock to match I used the distress ink pads to color the paper so it matched my project.  For the sentiment I die cut the word happy, inked it with the distress ink pad, and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder twice so it was a nice thick gloss look.  Then I stamped the birthday portion of my Amuse stamp and adhered my die cut to coordinate with the stamped word.  I added a twine bow, popped up the panel with dimensionals, and that finished the card.  Thanks for stopping by!
