Hello Stampers!  I'm here to share a card I made for the Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  The theme for this week's challenge is water.  For my card I made a mini slimline card, using Gina K's Master Layouts 7.  I stamped, die cut, and colored in the loon images.  I matted them with a black cardstock circle in order to have them stand out.  Then I die cut the layers.  I did add a ribbon treatment before popping up the loons.  I also added a stamped sentiment.  For the inside I kept it simple by adding some cat tails and a sentiment.

That's all for now!  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday

Stamps: Stampin' Up Spotlight on Nature and Butterfly Basics
Ink: VersaMark, Stampin' Up Craft White, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Bubble Bath, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Gina K White and Stampin' Up Basic Black
Accessories: Waffle Flower Nesting Circles Dies, Stampin' Up Spotlight on Nature Dies, Brutus Monroe Alabaster White Embossing Powder, Ribbon from Stash, Water brush, Honey Bee Gems, Stampin' Up Black Dimensionals

Hello Stampers!  It is Featured Stamper Sunday over at Splitcoaststampers!  Here is my inspiration card:
I was drawn to this card because of the use of black.  It really caught my eye.  I also really like the look of the white wash technique.  I heat embossed the floral image and die cut it using a circle die.  Then I did the white wash and let it dry while I finished the card.  To mat this image I die cut the decorative circle out of black, and die cut a white circle to go behind it to highlight the decorative edge.  I also cut out a card base and added a white and a black layer.  By this time my image was dry.  I wanted to add some color on top of the white wash, so I got out my water brush and some melon mambo ink and applied ink to the florals, then I added some old olive to the leaves.  It is very faint but there is some color.  I think I should have used more white ink to allow those colors to stand out.  I took this circle and popped it up on the decorative circle, added some sheer ribbon, and adhered my layers together.  For the inside I did some simple stamping.

Supplies:
Stamps: Stampin' Up Sweet Jar
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Stampin' Up Real Red
Paper: Stampin' Up Basic White, Basic Black, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Blueberry Bushel, Chocolate Chip, Gray Granite, Green from Stash
Accessories: EK Success M&M punch, Stampin' Up Ribbon, and Jar cut file from Silhouette Studio

Hello Stampers!  I'm here to share a card I made for the Clean and Simple challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  The theme for their challenge is: Chocolate.  For my card I started by punching out a bunch of M&M's and adhering a small white circle behind it so you could see the white m.  I decided to make a jar card so I cut out a jar card and it's components with my Cameo.  I randomly adhered the M&M's in the jar, and then trimmed around this layer with scissors for the M&M's that hung over the edge of the jar layer.  Next I adhered the lid to the white part of the jar, and added a ribbon treatment.  I wasn't going to add a sentiment, but then decided I would.  I got out my trusty stamp a ma jig and stamped the sentiment.  I adhered this finished layer to the front of the card.  For the inside I stamped a sentiment.  That's all for now!

Hello Stampers!  I'm here to share a card I made using the sketch of the week over at Freshly Made Sketches.
For my card I started with the flower.  I stamped it and then I die cut it.  Then I used the decorative masks to blend color onto this flower.  Next I cut out a card base using Gina K's heavy base weight cardstock.  For the middle of the card I wanted some texture.  I chose the tiny crosses texture die.  I thought the little crosses complimented the shape of the flower petals.  So to do this I turned the texture plate 90 degrees so it would only add texture to the center of the card.  I wanted the top and bottom to be plain white.  Next I cut 2 strips of the gingham paper.  For the top strip I added a stitched scalloped border behind the gingham paper.  I adhered these two strips to the card base.  For the sentiment I stamped, heat embossed, die cut, and adhered it to the card base.  To finish the front I added some dimensionals to the flower and popped it up onto the card base, and then I added some gems to give it a little sparkle.  For the inside I made another gingham strip with a highland heather scalloped edge.  And I die cut the sentiment.

Hello Stampers!  It's been awhile!  I was busy finishing up my last couple of weeks of school.  Our last day was Friday, I don't think it has sunk in that it is summer yet.  Maybe it will tonight when I don't have to set an alarm!! :)

My card today is for 2 challenges.  One is the Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers: Make a Masculine card, and the other is the sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.
For my card I started by picking out two pieces of patterned paper that coordinated, and getting them cut out.  For the focal image I stamped, die cut, stamped the sentiment, and colored the image.  I adhered the two patterned papers down, and then popped up the airplane.  For the inside I had a piece of the cloud paper, so I stamped and die cut the sentiment and adhered it to the patterned paper.

That's all for now!  Thanks for stopping by!!

Hello Stampers!  I'm here to share a card that I made for the Featured Stamper Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  Here is the scrapbook layout that I used as an inspiration for my card:

To start my card I blended a panel with Distress Inks to create the sunset sky.  Then I stamped the pine trees on this panel.  I matted this in black using the dotted border die, it is hard to see this detail in the picture.  Then I adhered this focal image to the DSP, and stamped the the Happy Birthday using my MISTI.  For the inside I stamped the sentiment and added a circle branch border to it.

For my card I die cut the frame, and then cut out the center in white.  I picked out a couple of Distress Inks to ink blend the background sky.  Then I stamped the pine trees and bird, and then colored in the bird with a copic marker.  I embossed the front with a tree embossing folder.  I added some twine, but decided not to add a bow and just knotted it since it was more of a masculine card.  For the inside I stamped and die cut a sentiment.

Look Who's Turning 100!

Supplies:
Stamps: Stampin' Up Number of Years
Paper: Gina K White and Stampin' Up Daffodil Delight
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin' Up Daffodil Delight and Garden Green
Accessories: Hero Arts Oval Infinity Dies, Julie Hickey Sweet Pea Numbers Die Set, Stampin' Up Ribbon, Honey Bee Gems, Concord & 9th: Quilted Card Front Die

Hello Stampers!  My Mother-in-Law asked me to make a 100th Birthday Card for my husband's Great Aunt.  She is turning 100 early this May.  I knew I had to incorporate flowers because on special occasions she would take flower petals from the arrangements, and created beautifully framed art after she pressed the flowers.  We are lucky that we have a few of her creations, and we will always treasure them.

For my card I started by stamping the floral images.  Then I die cut this using an oval die cut.  Next it was time for the numbers.  I die cut the 100 out of the floral images, and set them aside.  I cut four layers of the 100 out of daffodil delight cardstock.  So now I had to adhere the yellow numbers to the floral image.  Before I did that I needed to die cut a daffodil delight oval mat so I had something to adhere the numbers to.  I stacked and adhered the yellow numbers, and then topped them off with the original numbers I had cut out.  To add some detail I added some gems to the center of the flowers and used my Misti to stamp Look Who's Turning at the top of the oval.  Next I cut out a white layer and used the quilted card front die to add some texture to the background.  Before I adhered this to the card base I wanted to add something at the bottom of the oval, it looked off balance to me.  So I found this thin ribbon and wrapped it around the white layer to ground the flowers, and added a bow.  Now all I had to do was adhere it to the card base.  For the inside I mimicked the front using the same quilted card front die, and the same ovals.  I simply stamped the sentiment in the oval.

That's all for now!  Thanks for stopping by!
