My Other Addiction!

If I'm not buying Martha punches, I'm buying embossing folders! I went to Archiver's today and they had the new Tim Holtz Christmas embossing folders, Snow Flurries and Snowman, that I have been waiting for! I was soooo excited. Isn't that snowman just the best??!! I used the Tim Holtz foam applicator and applied cream white ink on top of the snowman to make him pop, and then added some self adhesive pearls by KaiserKraft. The twill ribbon by Martha is attached with a stay put bow, and the sentiment is by Stampin' Up. I also made this card for the featured stamper challenge at SCS. This week the featured stamper is cherylquilts, she has a wonderful gallery! This is the card I chose to case. I chose to change the orientation and theme of her original card. Sweet Holiday Wishes

Wow, did life get busy all of a sudden! I've been preparing for parent teacher conferences, so I have been doing report cards on top of all of the rest of my busy work! Which means I have less time to stamp. But I snuck in a few minutes today! That's what I love about CAS cards, they don't take very long to make! Granted I had been planning it out in my head throughout the day, and when I got home it all came together.

I just love gingerbread, and these die cuts are cookie cutter die cuts from quickutz. They are just too cute! The peppermints are a stamp by whipper snapper that I colored and cut out. I popped one of them up with pop dots. The striped paper and sentiment are by Amuse. And I made the scalloped edge using su's scallop border punch. The layout for the card is from the clean and simple blog.

Oh Martha!

Just when I think I've got it all Martha does it again! I was at Michaels this weekend and they had some new Martha border punches! Why oh why am I so addicted??!! I think I need therapy! I just couldn't leave this on the shelf! I love it!! I added a bunch of black pearls to the centers of the flowers. The ribbon is from hobby lobby and the flower is by Bazzill. I added a button in the center and tied some red and white twisted floss to the button. My sentiment is by Amuse and I fancied it up by punching it out using SU oval and scallop oval punches. I am just loving this week's fall to layout!

Snowflake Sketch

Well, the Halloween cards are done so we are on to Christmas! I have been making a lot of Christmas cards for challenges so I am getting pretty close to completing my Christmas cards! Everyone will be getting different cards this year! How fun! For this card I used Stamp TV's weekly sketch challenge. I used Blessed is the Season by Gina K. I stamped used Desert Sand ink, stamped off, then stamped to make the background. I did the same thing with the script background. For the focal image I stamped full strength, cut it out with a nestabilties and made a deckle edge with my decorative scissors! Lastly I added my sentiment with rich cocoa ink. I'm happy with the end result.

Girlie Christmas Card

I have two nieces (will have another very soon!) that are such girlie girls! I love it! So I thought for their Christmas card I would go with some girlie colors rather than the traditional green and red. I used the layout from the clean and simple blog. My images are both by Amuse, patterned papers are from a 6x6 paper pad by Cosmo Cricket. I cuttlebuged the ivory background, you can't really see the snowflakes unfortunatley, but I still like the texture it adds.

Boo!

It's time for another Featured Stamper over at SCS. This week the featured stamper is Laurie. She has a wonderful gallery! I chose this card to case because I am trying to finish up my Halloween cards. I changed the ribbon. I added a decorative edge punch instead of the ribbon on the bottom. I also added some black twine on the focal image. I used die cut ghosts by Sizzix, and the boo is from cuttlebug. I added another row of piercing as well.

Thanks for looking be sure to check out Laurie's gallery!!

crinkle, crinkle, crinkle

So today we walked to the library at school and all we heard was the crinkle, crinkle, crinkle, crunch, crunch, crunch as we walked over the fallen leaves. As we were walking I remembered that the CAS challenge this week was crinkle, and when I came home I picked out this leaf image to make my card with. I colored the image with copic markers, and added some twistel that I unraveled for a little extra crinkle. I used my score buddy to add some scoring at the top, and rounded the corners at the bottom.

GKD Congrats!

This is the third card I made for the Stamp TV challenges. For this challenge Lee wanted us to use one stamp set to create a background and the focal image. My sister-in-law is having a baby girl in a couple of months so I decided on a baby theme. I paper pieced the baby's outfit and stamped the heart using a template by Prinkworks to stamp evenly. I added a sentiment and I was done!

GKD notecard

The second challenge that I participated in over at Stamp TV was to make a notecard. The size of this is a piece of cardstock measuring 5.5x4.25 folded in half. The layout is like my one layer card I made, I just left off the embossing. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and images are from Gina K.

Another Boo Card!

The clean and simple challenge over at SCS was to use the faux letterpress technique. I had just made a card using this technique! So I got out the same spider web embossing folder and inked it up again. This time I stamped a ghost by whipper snapper, and I also used Gina's tutorial on reverse nestabilities only I used circle punches instead of nestabilties.

One Layer Christmas

Gina K had a new release a few days ago and had some fun challenges on stamp TV. I would love to win a new set so I entered them all! This is the first one I made. The challenge was to make a one layer card, with two rounded corners, and 3 pieces of bling. I double embossed the card using a sizzix embossing folder and nestabilities. Then I added my sentiment from Blessed is the Season from Gina K. and added some red gems. I rounded the bottom corners and added some sheer red ribbon to finish it off. I'm pleased with the results and I think I'll make a few more as the Christmas season is approaching us!! Thanks so much for stopping by!
