Have a holly jolly Christmas

Supplies:  Stamps: Amuse  Paper: GKD heavy base weight white  Ink: GKD jet black amalgam, Distress Ink: faded jeans Accessories:  MFT stitched arch dies, picket fence life changing brushes, mask paper, copic markers

It is Featured Stamper Sunday!  This week the featured stamper is Angela.  This is the card that I found inspiration from:

To make my card I dry embossed the stitched arch die onto my card base.  Then I stamped my image and sentiment using the stamp-a-ma-jig.  Next I stamped my car image onto masking paper and cut it out, and adhered it to the card.  Then it was time to add the distress ink.  I didn't want the blue to go over the stitched part of the die cut image, so first I set down the die cut on the card base and then added some masking paper around the die cut.  This was the first time I used the life changing picket fence brushes.  They are nice, they make blending very easy.  I didn't get any hard edges like I would with the Tim Holtz blender sponges.  Next I sprayed my blending with some water like Angela did on her card.  I like how it looks like it is snowing.  Lastly, I took off all of the masking paper and colored my image in with copic markers.  And that completed my card.

Clubhouse Birthday

Supplies:  Stamps:  Clubhouse  Paper: Country Club DSP, GKD heavy weight and layering weight white cardstock  Ink: GKD jet black amalgam ink  Accessories: copic markers, linen thread, Edgelits adorning accents

Hello Stampers!  I made this card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  Here is this week's sketch:

I struggled coloring in the focal image for this card.  There are shadows included in the stamped image and I ended up just adding my darker color and on them and then filling in the rest with a lighter color.  It took me three times to get it right!  Three times a charm I guess!  Then I stamped my sentiment on the top of the card, and added some linen thread.  I die cut the edge using the adorning accent edgelit, and put this on top of some of the country club designer series paper.

That's all for now.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Heart Day

Supplies:  Stamps: Whipper Snapper and Stampendouse  Ink: GKD jet black amalgam  Paper: GKD heavy base weight white and real red  Accessories:  Lawn Fawn just stitching rectangles, copic markers, SU sizzlit

This was my kind of sketch this week, perfect for a clean and simple card.
I created the frame using the Lawn Fawn just stitching die cut.  Then I used my stamp a ma jig to stamp my focal image.  I colored the focal image and then had to decide on a heart.  I found an old Stampin Up sizzlit with a layered scalloped heart.  Lastly, I lucked out and had a tiny sentiment that fit inside the heart by Stampendous.

Thanks so much for looking!

Let It Snow!

Supplies: Stamps: GKD Winter Hugs and Let it Snow  Paper: SU balmy blue and GKD heavy base weight white  Ink: GKD jet black amalgam ink  Accessories:  ribbon, sequins, copic markers, pom pom, GKD tag die cut and Winter Hugs die cuts, linen thread, dimensionals, Sizzix embossing folder

I made this card for the clean and simple challenge on SCS.  The challenge is Winter Windows, to make a card with something you see out your windows.  It is snowy here in Wisconsin, and I see snowmen out my windows.  To make this card I started by partial embossing my focal panel, and then adding the snowflake ribbon as a border.  Next I stamped my sentiment using my favorite stamp a ma jig.  To make the tag I stamped the snowman, die cut it, and colored it using my copic markers.  I added the ribbon at the bottom of the tag, tucking the snowman behind it.  I added a pom pom to jazz up his hat, and added some sequins to fill in the blank space on the tag.  I added the ribbon to the top of the tag and then used linen thread to attach the ribbon to the tag, and popped the tag up with some dimensionals.

That's all for now, thanks for stopping by!

Wishing You A Very Happy Birthday!

Supplies:  Stamps:  GKD Vine & Butterfly and Make a Wish  Ink: Versamark and GKD jet black amalgam ink  Paper:  GKD heavy base weight white and black cardstock  Accessories:  copic markers, detail white embossing powder, and sequins

I made this card for two challenges.  The first challenge is the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.  Here is the sketch for this week:
The second challenge is the Gina K Designs Monthly Mix Challenge.  The challenge was to take a card that you made last year and create a do-over.  I selected this card as my do-over card:
Here's how I made it.  I stamped the vine background onto a 3.5x4.5 inch piece of cardstock.  Then I cut out a black piece of cardstock the same size.  I tilted it behind the vine image to go with the sketch.  Then I found an old happy birthday sentiment and white heat embossed it onto black cardstock and cut it out.  Lastly, I stamped and colored in the butterflies and adhered them to the card.

I know it was just Christmas and I am making an Easter card...but for the featured stamper challenge on SCS I found this card in Patricia's gallery that I wanted to CASE.  When I saw her card I thought of this bunny from Fable Friends and I knew I had to use it.  I kept the elements of the card the same I swapped out things like the decorative stitched frame instead of an oval, ribbon instead of paper trim, and I used a white on white color scheme.
