Hello Stampers! I'm here to share a card I made using the sketch of the week over at Freshly Made Sketches.
I started with the oval. I wanted it big enough to use the Sophisticated Sled in. I found that the Waffle Flower ovals worked the best, so I die cut a plain white oval and a scalloped oval to mat it. Then I die cut the sled and assembled it. For the flourish part of the sketch I made a snowy hill. To give this area some texture I tried out Gina K's Puffy Embossing Powder. I like the snowy look it created. Then I had to decide on the card base. I started with a white card base, but I thought it looked kinda blah. So I had out my Iconic Celebrations DSP and the plaid stood out to me. I put it behind the oval, and I really like how it looked. So I cut it down to have a 1/8" border for the Cherry Cobbler card base. For the inside I stamped the sled in Basic Beige, and then used Cherry Cobbler ink to stamp the sentiment.
That's all for now, thanks for stopping by!!
