Hello Stampers! I'm here to share a card I made using the sketch of the week over at Freshly Made Sketches.
For my card I started with the flower. I stamped it and then I die cut it. Then I used the decorative masks to blend color onto this flower. Next I cut out a card base using Gina K's heavy base weight cardstock. For the middle of the card I wanted some texture. I chose the tiny crosses texture die. I thought the little crosses complimented the shape of the flower petals. So to do this I turned the texture plate 90 degrees so it would only add texture to the center of the card. I wanted the top and bottom to be plain white. Next I cut 2 strips of the gingham paper. For the top strip I added a stitched scalloped border behind the gingham paper. I adhered these two strips to the card base. For the sentiment I stamped, heat embossed, die cut, and adhered it to the card base. To finish the front I added some dimensionals to the flower and popped it up onto the card base, and then I added some gems to give it a little sparkle. For the inside I made another gingham strip with a highland heather scalloped edge. And I die cut the sentiment. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

I love this big flower! Beautifully done! Glad you joined us at FMS!
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about purple and green that the combination really draws you in. I love the combination of floral and gingham and the vibrant green leaves on your card. Also the tiny crosses die cut background set the perfect stage for the floral die cut. Awesome!
