Oh Happy Day

Supplies:
Stamps: SU Playing in the Rain
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Distress Ink Tumbled Glass
Paper: Gina K White
Accessories: SU Everyday Arches Dies, Playing in the Rain Dies, Raindrops Embossing Folder, Pickett Fence Blending Brush

Hello Stampers!  I survived my first day of inservice!  I was excited to get home to make a card for today's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers, the theme is weather wonder.  For my card I started by die cutting an arch and embossing it with the rain drops embossing folder.  Then I ink blended some tumbled glass on top to create the sky.  For the focal image, I stamped, die cut, and colored it in with Copics.  The bottom portion of the image did not cut out with the die cut, so I fussy cut out the puddle.  I adhered these pieces to the bottom of the arch.  Then I stamped, die cut, and highlighted the clouds with Copic markers.  Next I adhered the clouds to the arch, and glued the arch to a card base.  For the inside I ink blended the edges of the arch and stamped a sentiment.

That's all for now!  We'll see how day 2 of inservice goes... until next time!

Happy Birthday

Supplies:
Stamps: SU Charming Day, Elements of Text, PaperTrey Birthday Basics
Paper: Gina K White, SU Sahara Sand and Sweet Sorbet 12x12 DSP
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Sahara Sand and Espresso
Accessories: Copic Markers, SU Linen Thread, SU Charming Day Dies, Pickett Fence Blending Brush

Hello Stampers!  I am sharing a card I made for the Featured Stamper Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  Here is my inspiration card:

For my card I started by stamping and die cutting my floral images.  Then I needed to find some patterned paper and decide what color scheme to go for.  I found some sahara sand patterned paper with a simple pattern, and that led me to use sahara sand for the card.  I cut a piece of sahara sand and a strip of the patterned paper.  I adhered the patterned paper to the bottom of the cardstock.  I inked up my blending brush with sahara sand and inked up the edges.  Then I used post its to cover up the patterned paper.  I took one of the stamps from Elements of Text and randomly partially stamped this on the top portion of the card.  For the sentiment I used my trusty stamp a ma jib and stamped it in early espresso so it would stand out against the background.  Next I added some linen thread with a bow.  To finish this card panel I used dimensionals to pop up the floral image.  For the inside I cut a sahara sand panel and inked up the edges.  I stamped my sentiment and adhered another floral image.

Well it is back to work tomorrow as my summer vacation has come to an end.  Back to weekend stamping! :(

Hello Stampers!  I'm here to share a card that I made today.  We lost power at noon today, and as the storm passed it brightened up outside.  Which means I was able to do a little crafting to pass the time until our power came back on.  For this card I ink blended a panel and stamped the grassy image on top.  I adhered this to the card base and then I cut a thin strip of black cardstock and adhered one to each side of the panel.  For the sentiment I stamped, die cut, and popped it up onto the card.  For the inside I stamped a different grassy image and stamped, die cut, and adhered the sentiment inside the card.  I'm happy to report our power came back on around 3:00!!  Now it is time to cheer on the Brewers!!

Hello Stampers!!  I'm here to share a Christmas card that I made using the One Horse Open Sleigh DSP.  I followed a tutorial but made mine an A2 size card instead of a 5x7 card.  Here is the video tutorial I was inspired by.  Making a 4 Panel Card.  I made into an A2 card, here are the measurements if you want to try it.  Cut your patterned paper to 4 3/8 x 3 5/8, and cut the four panels by cutting every 1 1/8 inches.  To mat this cut a piece of cardstock 4 15/16 x 3 3/4 inches.  This was a fun card to make and a great way to use your patterned paper!!

Hello Stampers!!!  I'm here to share a card I made for the Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.   The theme of the week is "Summer Fun."  To make my card I started with the truck.  I inked up the solid truck with pear pizzazz ink, and then I lightly sponged on some cajun craze ink at the bottom to give the truck a rusty look.  Then I stamped the outline of the truck on top of this.  To give it that beachy, summery feel I stamped the palm trees, surf board, and beach ball in the back and colored them with copic markers.  Then I fussy cut this out.  For the background I die cut a circled and ink blended a summery sky, and added some sandpaper at the bottom of the circle to ground the truck.  To finish up the focal image I stamped, die cut, and popped up the sentiment on the circle.  Now for the card front I decided to emboss it with the soft waves embossing folder, and adhere it to a pool party card base.  I adhered my focal image to the background to finish up the front of this card.  For the inside I die cut a palm tree and added a bit of sandpaper at the bottom, leaving room to add a note.  And that completes my card.

Paper: Gina K White, Stampin' Up Take a Bow 6x6 DSP
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Pink and Main Large Sentiment Strip Dies, Stampin' Up Real Red twine, Taylored Expressions Dotted Lattice Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

Hello Stampers!  I'm here to share a card I made for Freshly Made Sketches!
I decided to turn the elements of this sketch into Christmas gifts!  I found some patterned papers that went well together, and then I cut them into the shapes of the sketch.  I added some real red twine for the bows on the gifts.  When I laid the gifts onto my white card base, I felt it needed some texture.  I decided to emboss the card front.  Next I adhered the gifts to the card base.  The upper left gift I adhered directly to the card base, the upper right gift I used thin foam squares, and for the bottom right gift I used Stampin' Up dimensionals.  For the sentiment I stamped, die cut, and adhered it with dimensionals and thin foam squares to the card.  For the inside I embellished it with some of the DSP, and then stamped a sentiment.

Paper: Stampin' Up Basic White, Basic Black, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Blueberry Bushel, Chocolate Chip, Gray Granite, Green from Stash

Hello Stampers!  I'm here to share a card I made for the Clean and Simple challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  The theme for their challenge is: Chocolate.  For my card I started by punching out a bunch of M&M's and adhering a small white circle behind it so you could see the white m.  I decided to make a jar card so I cut out a jar card and it's components with my Cameo.  I randomly adhered the M&M's in the jar, and then trimmed around this layer with scissors for the M&M's that hung over the edge of the jar layer.  Next I adhered the lid to the white part of the jar, and added a ribbon treatment.  I wasn't going to add a sentiment, but then decided I would.  I got out my trusty stamp a ma jig and stamped the sentiment.  I adhered this finished layer to the front of the card.  For the inside I stamped a sentiment.  That's all for now!

Paper:  Gina K White, Stampin' Up Real Red and Pecan Pie, Doodlebug 6x6 Home for the Holidays
Ink:  VersaMark, Stampin' Up Real Red
Accessories: Hero Arts Cookies Set Die, Celebrate It Ribbon (Michaels), Spellbinders circle and fancy circle, Stampin' Up: Stylish Shapes Dies, Dimensionals, Peppermints, Brutus Monroe Alabaster White Embossing Powder

Hello Stampers!!  I'm here to share a card I made for the Featured Stamper Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers!  Here is my inspiration card:
For my card I started with the gingerbread man.  I heat embossed him, die cut it, and added some peppermints for his buttons.  Then I went through a bunch of dies, to find a fancy circle to go behind the gingerbread man.  I found one in my Spellbinders dies, I'm not sure what the name of the set is.  It is an oldie but goodie.  I popped up my gingerbread man on this circle.  Then I went through my Christmas papers to find a coordinating piece, and found this fun peppermint paper.  I decided to have the patterned paper go down the middle of the card front, and I matted it with some white cardstock.  For the sentiment I stamped it in real red ink, and die cut it with the Stylish Shapes die.  At this point I started to adhere my elements to the red cardstock layer.  I popped up the gingerbread, and before I popped up the sentiment I added some ribbon behind it.  Once everything was adhered I adhered the red layer to the card front.  For the inside I again die cut the fancy circle, but this time in red.  I stamped the sentiment and die cut it out with a circle die cut.  I put a strip of the patterned paper behind this also to complete this card.

That's all for now!!  Thanks for stopping by!!
