A Little Birdie Told Me...

Supplies: Stamps: SU Birds and Branches and Stampers Anonymous: Crazy Talk Paper: blue unknown, Gina K heavy base weight white and black, SU crumb cake Ink: VersaMagic Sea Breeze, Memento Nautical Blue, SU soft suede, VersaMark Accessories: SU Stitched Nested Labels Dies, Brutus Monroe alabaster white embossing powder, SU linen thread, SU subtle embossing folder, dimensionals, Copic markers

Hello Stampers!  Today on Splitcoaststampers the challenge is Featured Stamper.  Today's featured stamper is Akiko, and this is the card I used as inspiration for mine.

To make my card I started with the card base.  I embossed a 4.25x5.5 panel and adhered it to my card base.  Then it was time to work on the focal image.  I die cut the label and then stamped the branch at the bottom to leave room for the nest.  Next I worked on the nest.  I stamped it in soft suede ink, die cut it, and adhered it so it was resting on the stamped branch.  For the bird I stamped it and die cut it.  I added some orange like Akiko did on her bird using Copic markers.  To finish the bird I stamped the wing, cut it out, and adhered it to the bird with mini dimensionals.  Then I adhered the bird to the nest.  For the eggs I stamped, die cut, and adhered them nestled into the nest.  Next it was time for the sentiment.  I found this sentiment in my stash, embossed it, cut it into two pieces so it would fit on the focal panel, and adhered it to the label.  I adhered the finished focal image and then added some linen thread to the top of the card.  And that completed the card!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!  Wish me luck as I start a new school year tomorrow.  We have inservice for about a week and a half and then the kids come!!  Let the countdown to summer begin! LOL!

Sunflower Frame Card

Supplies: Paper: Gina K heavy base weight white Ink: Distress Ink: spiced marmalade, mustard seed, and mowed lawn Accessories: SU linen thread, Simon Says Stamp Sunflower Frame die cut, dimensionals, and Pickett Fence blending brushes

Hello Stampers!  Today I have made a card for three challenges on Splitcoaststampers: Clean and Simple: ten minute card, Ways to Use It: add a bow, and Featured Stamper Challenge.  Here is the card that I got inspiration for my card:

So I was able to make this card in 10 minutes because I already had some inspiration for my card.  The longest part of making the card was the blending.  I cut a piece of cardstock slightly smaller than the sunflower frame die cut and blended the background with distress ink and blending brushes.  Then I adhered the die cut onto the background.  I adhered this piece to a white layer of cardstock, and then added a ribbon treatment and bow instead of a sentiment.  Lastly,  I added dimensionals to pop my focal panel onto the card base.

That's all for now!  Thanks for stopping by!!!

Woodland Friends Birthday Card

Supplies: Stamps: Gina K Woodland Friends Paper: Gina K heavy base weight white Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Distress Ink tumbled glass and mowed lawn Accessories: Gina K Woodland Friends dies, Spellbinders deckle edge rectangle die, Gina K Master layout (banner die cut), Copic markers, dimensionals, Pickett Fence blender brushes, Eclipse masking paper

Helllloooo Stampers!  Wow, it has been awhile!  I had all summer to stamp but aside from the cards I made for the Dirty Dozen I didn't make a whole lot of cards.  And now I go back to school next week...ugh!

But today I received this Woodland Friends die set in the mail and couldn't resist inking it up.  To start I made a mask using the deckle edge Spellbinders die, and then I blended on some blue and green for the sky and grass.  I let this dry while I stamped, die cut, and colored the deer and raccoon.  I always die cut my images first in case I mess up.  I would be soo bummed if I spent all that time coloring and then mess up the die cut.  To finish the card I popped up a sentiment that I had die cut, and popped up the focal panel onto the card base.

I will be saving this card for my niece's birthday this fall.  She loves animals!

That's all for now!

Thanks for stopping by!!
