Snowy Cardinals

Supplies:  Paper: Gina K heavy base weight white, DCWV paper pack, red scrap  Accessories:  Simon Says Stamp die cut, Impression Obsession die cut, dimensionals.

This week over at the Paper Players the challenge is to use negative space on your card, and to have a clean and simple design.  To keep the design clean and simple I used this birch tree die cut.  I thought using the snowy paper as my negative space made the birch trees stand out.  And then I found some cardinal die cuts and the contrast of the red against the background made the cardinals pop.  Lastly, I added dimensionals to the back of this focal piece and added it to my card base to complete this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. The pop of red is very striking. The patterned paper is a great background for the trees. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players.

  2. Perfectly CAS and love those cardinals...beautiful! Thanks for playing along over at The Paper Players this week!
