Have a Jawsome Birthday

Supplies:  Stamps: Lawn Fawn Duh Nuh and Year Seven Ink: Memento tuxedo black and VersaFine Clair Nocturne, Distress Inks: salty ocean, peacock feathers, and twisted citron Paper: Gina K heavy base weight white and Hero Arts pitch black Accessories: Lawn Fawn Duh Nuh dies, Copic markers, blending brushes, water spritz bottle

Hello Stampers!  For my card today I am participating in two challenges on Splitcoaststampers.  The first is the clean and simple challenge with a theme of sea creatures, and the second is the featured stamper challenge.  Here is my inspiration card from Francine's gallery:
To make my card I started by blending the background like Francine's card.  I added a little bit of blue to the top of my background in addition to the teal and green colors she used.  To finish the background I spritzed it with some water droplets.  Then I stamped colored and die cut the shark and bubbles.  Next I stamped the greeting using my Misti since the words were from a couple different stamp sets and this helped line the words up correctly.  Then all that was left was to adhere everything together.

Happy Birthday

Supplies: Stamps: Stampin Up Sky is the Limit Ink: Gina K ivory pigment ink, Stampin Up early espresso Paper: Carta Bella Old World Travel Propeller Plane, Stampin Up early espresso, Gina K ivory, Stampendous detail white embossing powder, blending brush, linen thread
Hello Stampers!  The sketch challenge on Splitcoaststampers is a slimline card!  They are very hard to photograph!!  Here is a picture of the sketch.
I had found this paper in my stash recently and thought it would go well with this sketch.  Then I thought the airplane stamp would go well with the background.  I stamped it and blended in some early espresso ink around the edges to match the patterned paper.  For the sentiment I stamped it in ivory ink and then embossed it with embossing powder.  To finish the card I adhered all of my layers together.

That's all for now!

Joy Fold Poppies

Supplies: Stamps: SU Painted Poppies  Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and VersaMark Paper:  SU gray granite and Gina K heavy base weight white and black onyx Accessories: Copic markers, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, gem, black mini dimensionals

Hello Stampers!  What a beautiful Sunday it is today!!  I should probably be outside taking in the sunshine, but I am in my craft room making a card for the featured stamper challenge!  And doing laundry, dishes, and cleaning! LOL!  This week's featured stamper on Splitcoaststampers is Sandy.  I found this card in her gallery to CASE.

To make my card I followed the Joy Fold tutorial.  I changed the color scheme of my card, used some smaller poppy stamps, and added some ribbon to focal image.  I stamped my background paper instead of using patterned paper.  I also used a butterfly to keep the card closed.  I punched out three butterflies and adhered them together so it would be a stronger closure.

That's all for now,

Happy Easter

Supplies: Stamps: Lawn Fawn Eggstra Special Easter and Happy Everything  Ink: Memento tuxedo black and Distress Ink tumbled glass Paper: Gina K heavy base weight white Accessories:  Copic markers, dimensionals, masking paper, blending brush, My Favorite Things square peek a boo window

Hello Stampers!  Today the Clean and Simple challenge on Splitcoaststampers is the theme: Think Spring.  So I made an Easter card.  The die cut makes this card easy to make!  I cut a panel of white card stock and die cut the peek a boo window.  Then I set the panel on top of the card base and traced the window gently with a pencil.  This helped me know where to stamp the bunny.  After this I erased the pencil marks, colored in the bunny, masked it off, and blended in some tumbled glass for the sky.  To finish the card I stamped the sentiment on the die cut panel and used dimensionals to pop it up.

That's all for now!   Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Warm Wishes

Supplies: Stamps: SU Winter Wishes Paper: Tim Holtz watercolor paper, Gina K heavy base weight white Ink: Distress Inks: dusty concord, worn lipstick, and tattered rose  Accessories: SU winter wonder embossing folder and sequins
Hello Stampers!  This week's Featured Stamper on Splitcoaststampers is Anna-Karin.  She does a lot of fun techniques!  So I was a bit intimidated because inky techniques often end up in the garbage when I try them.  When I saw this card:

I thought I could try some ink smooshing, but use an embossing folder instead of acetate.  So I used the same color distress inks and inked up my folder.  Then I sprayed it with water.  I used a paint brush to soften the lines of the ink cubes, and ran it through my die cut machine.  I think it turned out OK.  To finish the card I trimmed the focal panel so I could have a white frame, added a sentiment strip, and added some sequins.

That's all for now!  Thanks for stopping by!!

Double Gate Fold Card

Supplies: Stamps:  Gina K Sketched Wreath Builder Stamp Set Ink: SU old olive Paper: old olive, white, SU Delightful Daisy DSP Accessories: 2 inch and 2 1/4 inch circle punches, linen thread, dimensionals

Hello Stampers! On Splitcoaststampers there is a sketch challenge today.  Here is a picture of it:

And since it is the second Wednesday of the month it is a double dare, to have you try the Double Gate Fold Card.  So I went for the double dare and tried this fun fold card.  I have been thinking Spring with this burst of nice weather here, so I got out my Delightful Daisy DSP and looked for a pattern that would work well for this challenge.  I went with the daisies, and I love on the front how it has a daisy on each side of the flap.  It looks like they are framing my sentiment.  I couldn't have planned for that to happen, I lucked out!  This was a fun and pretty easy fun fold card, I'm glad I tried it out.  It's really all about the paper with this one.

Relax, it's your day!

Supplies: Stamps: Amuse Relax it's your day Paper: sandpaper, ColorMates medium terrific teal, Gina K heavy and layering weight white Ink: Memento tuxedo black and Distress Ink tumbled glass Accessories: SU layering squares framelits dies, SU seasonal layers thinlits dies, Lawn Fawn stitched rectangles, blending brush, stamp a ma jig

Hello Stampers!  Today brings us the featured stamper challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  The featured stamper this week is Kim.  This is the card I chose to CASE.
To make the card I started with a white card base.  Then I adhered the teal layer and stitched white layer to the card base.  For the focal image I die cut the Adirondack chair in white.  Then I die cut the white square, and added some torn sandpaper to the bottom of the square.  For the sky I used a blending brush to add some color for the sky.  Then I was able to adhere the Adirondack chair to the the square piece.  I used liquid adhesive for the bottom of the chair and dimensionals to adhere the top of the chair, because the sandpaper added some dimension to the chair.  Then I die cut the scalloped square and adhered my focal image to it.  To finish the card I stamped my sentiment using a stamp a ma jig.  This was a fun card to make I just love that Adirondack chair die cut!!

Buzzing By To Say Hi

Supplies: Stamps: Whipper Snapper garden buzz, Great Impressions sentiment Paper: SU Melon Mambo and Gina K layering weight white Ink: Memento tuxedo black Accessories: Offray ribbon, Copic markers, Spellbinders rectangle nestabilities, Stampin Up layering circle framelits, Simon Says Stamp detail petal plate, 1 3/4 inch circle punch, sequins
Hello Stampers!  Today on Splitcoaststampers it is the sketch challenge. Here is a picture of the sketch.

To make this card I started with a melon mambo card base.  The next layer I used the detail petal plate to add some texture to the background.  For the focal image I stamped, colored, and die cut the image, and matted it in melon mambo.  I stamped another bee from the image, colored it, cut it out, and popped it up with a mini dimensional on the focal image.  Next I added some ribbon, and then it was onto the sentiment.  I stamped it on white cardstock, punched it out with the 1 3/4 inch circle punch, and matted it with one of the circles from the Stampin' Up layering circle framelits.  To finish the card I adhered all of the layers together.
