Thinking of You

Supplies: Stamps: So Hoppy Together and Hampton Arts  Paper: Gina K heavy base weight and layering white cardstock and black onyx, SU cucumber crush  Ink: Gina K black amalgam ink, versamark  Accessories: MFT rectangle scalloped frames and stitched fishtail flags, Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder, SU layering circle framelits, googly eyes, copic markers, detail white embossing powder

Well today is my last day off, back to work tomorrow and then the weekend!  What a crazy weather week!!  Today I combined the Ways to Use It challenge on SCS (Going Dotty) with the Paper Players sketch challenge.  I die cut the scalloped rectangle frame in green and white.  Then I die cut a circle from the inside of the frame for my focal image.  Next I embossed the inside of the frame with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.  I adhered the frame and the inside of the frame to the card base.  Then I used my trusty stamp a ma jig to stamp the frog image.  I colored the frog using copic markers and then added some googly eyes, just because googly eyes are fun!  Lastly, I stamped and embossed my sentiment on a stitched fish tail die cut and adhered it to the card.

Valentine Wishes

Supplies: Stamps: Whipper Snapper and Savvy Stamps  Ink: Gina K amalgam black ink  Paper: Gina K Artists's Choice and heavy base weight white  Accessories:  SU embossing folder, Score Buddy, SU rectangular thinlits, copic markers, dimensionals, Wink of Stella clear glitter marker

I'm back with another Valentine card.  This time my inspiration came from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.  You can see the sketch here:  A Sketch By Kim.  This sketch was a challenge for me.  I had a hard time deciding what to do for the diagonal lines of the challenge.  At first I had three different patterned papers picked out, but then figured out quickly that the patterns looked wonky when I cut them out on a diagonal.  Then I thought I would use washi tape, but I didn't have three patterns that went together.  So finally, I decided to use an embossing folder and my Score Buddy to add the diagonal aspect to this sketch card.  I am happy with the end result.

Happy Valentine's Day

Supplies: Stamps: Meant to Be  Ink: Lawn Fawn lobster  Paper: SU real red, Gina K. heavy base weight white  Accessories: Memory Box Flicker Hearts die cut, Lawn Fawn stitched scalloped borders die cut, gems

I have been at home more than at school this week!  First tons of snow, now frigid temperatures.  I guess it has worked out for me being able to work in my craft room.  With Valentine's Day right around the corner I thought I should try to get those cards done.  My card is pretty clean and simple.  I used the heart die cut as my focal image, added a scalloped border to give the hearts some color, and then added a sentiment.  I feel like something is missing.  I tried adding twine and ribbon, but it just didn't look right.  So I left it off.

Happy Valentine's Day

Supplies: Stamps: Meant to Be  Paper: Sending love 6x6 pad, Gina K heavy base weight white, SU real red  Ink: Lawn Fawn lobster  Accessories: Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die cuts, Lawn Fawn scalloped rectangle die cuts, SU heart punch, dimensionals, black ribbon

Snow Day #2!!!  We are getting a ton of snow here today, so yippee no school for me today.  Love being able to get into my craft room.  This card is for the clean and simple challenge over at SCS.  The challenge was to use 3 different patterns on you CAS card.  I struggle to use patterned paper on my CAS cards, so this was a challenge for me.  I was looking through one of my old sketch magazines and stumbled upon one that would work.  As you can see I used the least amount of patterned paper as I could.  :)  But I do have three patterns!

Heartfelt Wishes

Supplies: Stamps: Meant to Be and Well Said  Ink: Lawn Fawn  Paper: Gina K white and black onyx  Accesories: MFT scalloped oval, Well Written, Be Mine, black ribbon, dimensionals

Snow Day!!!!  We are at the end of a snow storm here is Wisconsin, and I got to stay home from work today!!!  So I joined the Sketch Challenge over at SCS as my inspiration for today's card.  You can see the sketch here.  I got out some of my new sets from the Occasions catalog.  I am in love with the new Meant to Be and Be Mine sets, they have the cutest hearts!  So I stamped the hearts in rainbow colors, and die cut them.  I lined them up on the black ribbon, and adhered it on top of half of the scalloped oval.  For the sentiment I die cut the word wishes and stamped the word heartfelt.

I made this card for two challenges.  The first one is The Paper Players, the challenge is a clean and simple "Snowy Day" card.   The second challenge is Freshly Made Sketches.  You can see the sketch here.  I started with the sketch and then decided to use my Spirited Snowman stamp set for the Snowy Day challenge.  My snowman image was a bit large for a square card, so I made it an A2 size card.

Meant to Be

Supplies: Paper: Pink pirouette, Gina K white heavy base weight  Accessories: Be Mine Thinlits, Banner Thinlits, Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder, Offray ribbon

I received my order from the Occasions Catalog this week.  This heart is so cute, I had to try to make a card with it.  The die cut it in pink and adhered it to my banner.  I created the banner using two of the die cuts from the Be Mine set:  the little flowerettes border and the scalloped stitched border at the top.  I embossed the background with the Swiss Dots embossing folder, wrapped the ribbon around the pink panel, and adhered the completed banner on top.

That's all for now, thanks for stopping by!!

Retro Christmas

Supplies: Stamps: Amuse and Stampabilities  Ink: Gina K Amalgam black ink  Paper: Gina K heavy base weight white  Accessories: Stamp a ma Jig, MFT die cut, copic markers

Another Christmas card... I am starting early this year I guess! :)  I made this for the featured stamper challenge on SCS.  This week the featured stamper is Lori.  I selected this card to CASE.  When  I saw this card I remembered I had this retro Christmas ornament stamp, and I thought the die cut resembled the score lines on Lori's card.
