Happy Father's Day

Supplies: Stamps: SU Plane and Simple  Ink: GKD chocolate truffle amalgam ink  Paper: GKD heavy base weight white, Papercut brown, and Carta Bella propeller plane patterned paper

Happy Sunday!  It is time for the featured stamper challenge.  This week the featured stamper is proudarmymomof2.  I selected the following card as inspiration for my card.  This card caught my eye because I just picked up this patterned paper yesterday, and I have the plane and simple stamp set that she used.  To make the card I cut out my patterned paper for the background.  Then I stamped and cut out the airplane.  I cut out the two strips of paper and stamped the sentiment.  Next I adhered the two strips of paper onto the background, and popped up the airplane with dimensionals to complete the card.

Happy Easter

Supplies: Stamps: Inky Antics and Stampendous  Ink: Gina K black amalgam ink  Paper: GKD heavy base weight paper  Accessories: Square nestabilities, score board
The sketch this week on SCS was a tricky one for me.  I decided instead of using strips of paper for the lines that I would emboss them to keep a clean and simple look.  First I embossed the square, then I added the horizontal lines with my score board.  Next I stamped and colored in the Easter basket.  Lastly I used my stamp a ma jig to stamp the sentiment.

CAS May Flowers

Supplies:  Stamps: GKD Thank You Friend  Paper: GKD heavy base weight white and SU Botanical Butterfly DSP  Ink: GKD black amalgam ink  Accessories:  copic markers, sequins, and GKD small set double stitch design

The CAS challenge this week on SCS is to use your birthday flower.  My birthday is in May so I used a lily on my card.  I stamped and die cut my focal image, and then colored it with copic markers.  This is a hard image to color, I think mine turned out kinda bright.  Then I added the gingham panel matted onto black paper to the side of the card to add some interest.  I adhered my focal image with dimensionals and lastly I added some sequins to the focal image.

It is Featured Stamper Sunday!  The featured stamper this week is Sharon Madson.  You'll have to check out her gallery!!  Two of Sharon's cards were the inspiration to my card today; Mermaid  and Inspiration Mermaid.   For this card, I die cut the oval and embossed it to create a wavy embossed background.  Then I colored and cut out the mermaid, rocks, and sea horse.  I adhered them to the oval panel and added some sequins.  I got out my Misti to stamp the waving hello sentiment.  Then I adhered all of my layers together.

Hopping By to Say Hi

Supplies:  Stamps: Best Bunny  Paper: Gina K kraft and heavy base weight white  Ink: Gina K black amalgam ink and Versamark  Accessories:  copic markers, SU stitched layering rectangle dies, dimenstionals, liquid applique, detail white embossing powder

Today on SCS the CAS challenge was to use three of something.  I decided to use three of these cute bunnies.  I stamped and die cut them from the stitched rectangle framelits.  Then I colored them with copic markers.  I decided to make them colorful so they would kinda pop from the kraft paper.  Then I added liquid applique to create their fluffy tails.  I arranged the bunnies in a group of three and adhered them to the card base.  Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment in the corner of the card.

That is all for now!  Thanks for stopping by!!

Just Bee-Cause

Supplies:  Stamps: MFT Meant to Bee  Paper: Gina K heavy base weight white and SU Daffodil Delight  Ink: Gina K black amalgam ink  Accessories: Copic markers, MFT Meant to Bee die set, Taylored Expressions honeycomb embossing folder

I made this card using two challenges.  The first being the Paper Players Theme Challenge: Spring Fever, and the second being the Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS.  Olga Jewel is the Featured Stamper this week, and this is the card that was inspiration for my card.

Here is how I made it.  I started by cutting the card from the heavy base weight white, then I added the daffodil delight yellow layer.  Next I cut out the white layer and added the honeycomb embossing to the corner of it.  For the bee hive I stamped and colored it with copic markers, and then die cut it.  Then I lined up my sentiment and bees using the Misti and stamped those images.  I colored in my bees, and then adhered the bee hive onto the embossed area.  That completes my card.
