Happy Halloween!

 Supplies:
Stamps: Taylored Expressions: Simply Said-Halloween
Paper: Gina K White, Stampin' Up: Basic Black, Lemon Lime Twist, Pumpkin Pie, Gorgeous Grape
Ink: Stampin' Up Gorgeous Grape
Accessories: Cuttlebug 3x3 Halloween Die Cut, SU Stylish Shapes Dies, Waffle Flower: Spider Web Texture Die, SU Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon, Memory Box Swirling Ghosts dies

Hello Stampers!  I'm here to share a card that I made using the sketch of the week over at Freshly Made Sketches:
I had so much fun die cutting all of these cute little Halloween dies!  Once I had them all die cut, I adhered them to some card stock circles.  For the background I used the Waffle Flower Spider Web texture die.  Next I arranged and adhered the circles to the spider web layer.  I thought it needed a little something, and I happened to have the lemon lime twist ribbon on my desk!  So I added that to the card.  That's all for now!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sketch Challenge Snowman

Supplies:  Stamps: Whipper Snapper  Paper: GKD white and black  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Accessories: Copic markers, tiny rhinestones, Cuttlebug embossing borders
I hope this finds you well.  I had some time to craft today and found some inspiration in the sketch challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.
The diagonal lines had me a little stumped.  But then I remembered that I had some Cuttlebug embossing borders from years ago.  I found a cute snowflake swirly border and started with that.  Then I needed to find an image.  I found this snowman from Whipper Snapper, and thought that would go well with the snowflakes.  I colored him in with copic markers, and popped it up on a black mat.  Then I glued all my layers together and added some teeny tiny rhinestones on the large snowflakes and I was done.

That's all for now,

Terri

You're a Classic

Supplies: Stamps: Classic Cars, car is from a rummage but is not marked with a company  Paper: Paper cut: black, cherry red, and Gina K layering white  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Accessories: glossy accents, corner rounder, small brads, ribbon, copic markers, spellbinders, Cuttlebug embossing folder

I made this card for my Dad for Father's Day.  He has always liked corvettes, and this one is a classic.  I colored it with copic markers and added glossy accents to really make it shine.  Here is a close up:

I didn't have a rounded tag die cut, so I used my circle spellbinders.  I measured the widest part of the circle and cut a strip of paper with that width.  Then I partially die cut the circle to create the rounded tag look.  I used the ribbon to add a border to the embossed bottom of the car.  I thought this embossing folder looked like tire tracks.  For the sentiment I turned a rectangle into a license plate, by rounding the corners and adding brads to each corner.  Thanks for stopping by!

Oh My It Has Been Way Too Long

Supplies: Stamps: Petite Pairs Paper: cherry cobbler and crumb cake  Ink: old olive, cherry cobbler, crumb cake, soft suede  Accessories: Stampin Up ribbon, ribbon slide, Cuttlebug embossing folder, stamp a ma jig, sponges
Hello Stampers!  As I went to post this and saw that my last card was an Easter card...I wondered where the time went.  Stamping has been on the backburner too long for me.  It is too bad stamping shopping doesn't end up on the backburner rather than the actual stamping! LOL!  There always seems to be time for that! :)  Anywho, I was determined to make a card.  Sundays I always enjoyed the featured stamper challenge on SCS.  So that is where I headed.  I found a card to CASE and had a plan.  It was nice to get inky again.  I wasn't planning on inking up the embossed image, but I like the pop of color it adds to the card.
Thanks for stopping by!

Last Card for the CAS Summer Design Team

Supplies: Paper: kraft and white  Accessories: Cuttlebug embossing border, SU fancy flower punch, button, twine, Score Buddy
I can't believe that my time on the CAS design team is coming to an end.  It has been so fun, and I have enjoyed every minute of it!

Our last challenge is a color challenge: a kraft based card using primary colors.  I picked out some fun primary colored ribbons (and a couple more fun bright colors) and let them do the work on this card.  I added a layer of white to make the card pop a bit.  This was a fun card to make.  It would be a great way to use up some ribbon scraps.

Thanks for stopping by, and hope you can participate in this week's CAS challenge over at SCS!

CAS Tag Style

Supplies: Stamps: vintage labels  Paper: white, gkd yellow, medium tempting tanzanite colormates  Ink: memento tuxedo black  Accessories: victoria cb embossing folder, cb tag embossing die cut, baker's twine, white satin ribbon
Another week of CAS fun is upon us.  This week the challenge is to use tags on your card.  You can see my yellow tag on this one, does the yellow stand out too much??!!  Part of me wants to remake it, die cutting the tag in white and adding a blue border?!  Sometimes it is hard for me to get out of my comfort zone!   I like the yellow and blue color combo which aren't colors I usually use, so I better just step away from the card! :)  Hope you can join us in the challenge over at SCS, I would love to see your creations!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a fantastic week!

CAS Tall and Thin Challenge

Supplies: Stamps: Amuse, SU A to Z  Ink: early espresso  Paper: kraft, early espresso, tangerine tango  Accessories: SU Bigz Beautiful Butterflies, Sizzix Basic Grey Flourish #3 die cut, dark brown twine, self adhesive gems, foam blending tool
Time for another CAS challenge: Tall and Thin Cards!  I used some fun die cuts on this card.  I overlapped the flourish so it went off of the edge and I cut it off to meet the lines of the card.  I stamped the butterfly with the a to z stamp and used the foam blending tool to distress the edges.

I'm off to the cabin with the in-laws this week.  I wasn't able to get any extra posts prepared, but when I get back I'll get makin' some cards!  I just got a Stampin' Up order and I have been playing with the fancy fan letterpress!  Oh my I love it!  So I will make a card with it when I get back!

Have a fantastic week!

Happy Summer!

Supplies: Stamps: Gina K sentiment Paper: GKD white, su red, yellow, and green, scrap of grey, sandpaper Ink: versamagic purple hydrangea, su cherry cobbler edging on sand pail, pear pizzazz for edging on umbrella, memento dandelion for edging on shovel  Accessories: cuttlekids diecuts, 1/2 inch circle punch, small star a sizzix sizzlit
Guess what?!  I made it to the final round for the CAS summer design team.  For this round we had an inspiration picture:
When I saw the picture I had no idea what I was going to do.  I knew I wanted to stay with the "Beach Party" theme.  So I was paging through my binder (I have stamped, die cut, and punched all of my supplies in an embarrassingly huge binder) I saw the set of beachy Cuttlekids die cuts and the wheels started turning.  Since the image was a set of "sand toys" I thought sandcastles, sand, and sand toys!  That's when I decided to dig around for some sandpaper!  I love the texture it adds to the card (just like the texure rollers add texture to the sand).  The bowl in the image has a raised star in it, so I added a raised star on the sand pail.  And I used the colors of the sand toys on my sand toys, and a splash of purple for the sentiment.  I kept the base white because I really like the contrast with the bright colors, just like in the picture.
Now the hard part is to wait.  Entries are due Tuesday and the reveal is Thursday night.

Iris Birthday Card

Supplies: Stamps: Vintage Labels, Paper Parachute Ink: Staz On Black, Old Olive Paper: Black Onyx, Old Olive, purple from stash, white Accessories: Spellbinders, Cuttlebug die cut, SU decorative label punch, 3/4 x 15/16 oval punch, SU square lattice embossing folder, gems, prismacolor pencils, gamasol

I can't believe it has been a week since my last post, well actually I guess I can! What a crazy week it was! Hopefully next week will allow for some stamping time! This week on SCS the featured stamper is Irene, DandI93. This card caught my eye, because my Mom just borrowed me this iris stamp that she picked up at a rummage! I have been wanting to use it and Irene's card gave me the inspiration. The changes I made to the card are: added embossing to the green and purple panels, I used a different spellbinders die cut, and I changed the sentiment.

Hoppy Birthday

Supplies: Stamps: SU Unfroggetable Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Color Box: Sky Blue, SU Old Olive Paper: DCWV, blue, white, green, yellow, light blue, and orange cardstock Accessories: Cuttlebug frog, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, nestabilities, paper piercer, sponge, Offray ribbon, googly eyes, gems

I made this card for the Stamp TV sketch of the week. I turned the sketch to make it work with the frog die cut. I sponged on blue ink for the water, stamped my sentiment using my stamp a ma jig, and then added some punched butterflies. I also added some gems for some sparkle, and googly eyes to embellish the frog die cut. I sponged on the Old Olive ink around the die cut to add some color to the frog as well. Thanks so much for "hopping" by!

The All Day CAS Card

Supplies: Stamps: Happy Heart Day Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Paper: White, Racy Raspberry Accessories: Circle and Scalloped Square Nestabilities, KI Memories ribbon, Cuttlebug Embossing Border, Copic Markers

Oh my Goodness! I have not been able to make a card to save my life! I get started and nothing... I try something and I don't like it.... ugh! So this card took me all day to do and it is so simple. I would have thrown in the towel but I should have mailed this three days ago! So I stuck it out! I guess it is part of crafting to lose your mojo, I'm hoping mine returns soon. After completing this card I think it is on the mend.

I included a close up of the border at the bottom because it was hard to see it on the main card picture. I often forget about these fun borders. Glad I found them today.

That's all for now, hope everyone had a fun weekend! And I hear the weather is going to be warmer next week, after our very cold temperatures last week! Yeah!!!

Well here is number 3! It is not much different than number 2. I added my score lines around the ribbon instead of the embossing border. I'm exhausted, I took my 4K class sledding today!! It was a fun way to spend our last day of school before break, but wow, I'm ready for bed! Check back tomorrow for the last of the 4 cards. I dug out a super cute border punch to add to the last card!

Have a great day!

CAS Snowflake #1

Supplies: Stamps: Endless Creations, Ink: Pear Pizazz, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Paper: GKD white, Archiver's brown, Accessories: wrights ribbon, score buddy

This is the first card of the series of cards I made this weekend. There are four of them all of them just a little bit different. This is the most CAS of them all. I cuttlebugged the circles at the bottom of the white panel, stamped my snowflakes, added some score lines to frame my ribbon, and matted it on a brown base. And presto I was done... until I remembered I bought those cute winter embossing borders...check back tomorrow to see what I did with the embossing border. :)

Have a great day!

CAS Wintery Home

Stamps: Sentiment acrylic from Hobby Lobby, Paper: GKD ivory and brown from Archivers, Ink: Early Espresso, Accessories: Cuttlbug embossing folder, su sizzix snowflakes, su wide oval punch, tim holtz foam applicator for distressing and adding ink to the embossed image.

Well this looks like my house right now, we had over 12 inches of snow fall onto us in the past 24 hours!!! It took my husband and I over an hour to clean it all up, and I am still trying to warm up!!

The featured stamper this week over at SCS was lisaadd, I actually had just favorited this card not that long ago. I ordered the embossing folder and got it this week, what great timing!! I switched up a couple of details, the colors, I used snowflakes to border the embossed image, and I stamped my sentiment on an oval. I had it heat embossed with vanilla embossing powder but it didn't look as crisp as I wanted it to.

Thanks for stopping by, off to make more Christmas cards.

Boo!

This is the second card I made for the sketch challenge at Stamp TV. I kept it CAS again, and I didn't even use stamps on this card! I embossed the spider web after inking up the folder with white ink. Then I die cut a sizzix ghost and applied clear utee. I added some green ribbon and then popped up the ghost. Lastly I added the die cut boo!

A Sketch and A Color Challenge

Well before I get to the details I thought I would share that I am going to be one of the guest designers for the Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers! Pretty exciting news for me, this will be my first designer experience and I am looking forward to it! Yeah!

Now onto the details of this clean and simple creation! The layout of this card is the sketch of the week from the Clean and Simple blog. You can see it here. I also used the color challenge from Stamp TV: brown, ivory, and yellow. These colors are so pretty together! The stamp sets that I used are Spring Mix and Enjoy the Sunshine Stamp TV Sets from Gina K. The brown and ivory are pure luxury cardstocks from Gina K, and the yellow was from my pile of scraps! The embossing was all done with my cuttlebug using the swiss dots folder and the just my type embossing borders.

Now that I had some crafty fun, it is time for some plum fun! We picked our plum tree yesterday and I have a huge bag waiting for me! If you have any plum recipes let me know!! :) I'll give em' a try!

Thanks for stopping by!

Scalloped Envelope Box

I had seen this box surfing the internet this weekend, and I had to try it out. I never did find any directions for the smaller box, but there are a lot of directions for a larger square box you can make. So I experimented and found out it is pretty easy! I simply die cut two of the scallop envelopes and trimmed the bottom flap of the envelope to 1/2" to match the side flaps. Then I adhered it together with score tape and punched out an oval using the smaller su oval punch. I embellished simply, since the recepient may just toss it... because the chocolates are so delicious. I used a cuttlebug diecut double heart, and added some ribbon. The paper is from Hobby Lobby, I'm pretty sure it is Paper Studio paper.

That's all for now!
