Stitched Happy Birthday To You

Supplies:  Stamps:  Gina K Scripty Sayings  Paper: Gina K heavy base weight white and SU melon mambo  Ink: Gina K jet black  Accessories: Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies, ribbon from my stash, dimensionals

Hello everyone!  I made this card using the Paper Players sketch challenge this week.

Don't you love the stitched floral image?!  It is in the clearance rack at Stampin' Up.  I don't remember seeing this in the catalog, not sure how I missed it?!  It is perfect for making clean and simple cards!  And it worked great for this open sketch.  I started by cutting the white piece of cardstock to to fit the image and sentiment.  Then I ran the stitched die through the die cut machine and stamped my sentiment.  Next I added the ribbon and adhered the focal panel to a piece of melon mambo cardstock to match the ribbon.  I popped the whole panel up with dimensionals and this card was complete.  That's all for now.

Happy Birthday To You

Supplies:  Stamps:  Whipper Snapper and Gina K Scripty Sayings  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: Bazzill Boysenberry Delight, Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plain Rainbow 6x6 paper pad, Gina K layering weight white  Accessories:  Gina K rectangle small and large rectangle die sets, ribbon from stash, copic markers, and dimensionals

Hello stampers!  Today's Clean and Simple card challenge on SCS is "What's the dirt?"  You are supposed to include dirt on your card.  I dug through my stamps and finally found one with dirt in the pot! It is surprising how few flower stamp images do not include the dirt! LOL!  So I colored my focal image in using copic markers.  I die cut it out of the small rectangle die set, and then die cut a rectangle in purple from the large rectangle die set.  And the rest of the card was layering the paper and adding the sentiment and ribbon.  Pretty quick card, except for the coloring.  That took awhile! That's all for now!

Rainbow Birthday

Supplies: Paper: Tim Holtz watercolor paper and Gina K heavy base weight white  Accessories: Sizzix Phrase Happy Birthday to You, SU rectangle stitched framelits dies, Kuretake watercolors

It's Sunday, time for the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.  The featured stamper this week is Gloria, she has a very fun gallery!  I selected this card as inspiration for my card:
I really liked the bright rainbow background that she created.  I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone with this one.  Watercolor is not my forte.  But I had fun with it.  I started by making the rainbow background, and adhering it to my card base.  Then I cut a smaller piece of watercolor paper as big as my die cut, and watercolored another rainbow background.   When this was dry I die cut the Happy Birthday phrase out of it.  Next I die cut the stitched rectangle and adhered my focal phrase to it.  I added some dimensionals to the back of the rectangle and adhered it to my card.  That's all for now!

Is it just me or is this squirrel too cute?!  I just had to make a card with him!  I stamped the focal image and colored him with copic markers.  Then I die cut it into a circle.  I die cut a mat for the focal image out of balmy blue cardstock.  After I cut the layers for the background I added some linen thread around the top of the background.  I adhered the background down in the middle of the card base, stamped my sentiment, and added dimensionals to my focal image to adhere it to the card.  That's all for now!

Sketch Challenge Snowman

Supplies:  Stamps: Whipper Snapper  Paper: GKD white and black  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Accessories: Copic markers, tiny rhinestones, Cuttlebug embossing borders
I hope this finds you well.  I had some time to craft today and found some inspiration in the sketch challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.
The diagonal lines had me a little stumped.  But then I remembered that I had some Cuttlebug embossing borders from years ago.  I found a cute snowflake swirly border and started with that.  Then I needed to find an image.  I found this snowman from Whipper Snapper, and thought that would go well with the snowflakes.  I colored him in with copic markers, and popped it up on a black mat.  Then I glued all my layers together and added some teeny tiny rhinestones on the large snowflakes and I was done.

That's all for now,

Terri
