Country Santa

Supplies: Stamps: Whipper Snapper Designs: Country Santa  Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black  Paper: Stampin' Up Cherry Cobbler, and Gina K Heavy Base Weight White and Kraft  Accessories: Gina K large and small set rectangles, Essentials by Ellen Twirling Flurries, Stampin' Up Stitched Snowflake Dies, Offray gingham ribbon, Stampin' Up Linen Thread, gems, Prismacolor colored pencils, Gamsol, blending tools

Hello Stampers!!  I made this card for the Paper Players Challenge: Ho! Ho! Ho! feature a Santa on your project.  To make this card I started with a Kraft top folding card base.  Then I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler and die cut it with the Twirling Flurries cover plate.  After I did this I noticed that there were some small circles cut out, so I put a piece of white cardstock behind the Cherry Cobbler.  For the focal image I stamped my Santa and die cut it with the double stitched rectangle.  Then I used a stitched snowflake and partial die cut these in opposite corners.  Next I colored in my Santa with Prisma Colored pencils and blended it with Gamsol, and die cut a rectangle from Kraft paper to frame it.  Adding my ribbon treatment was next.  I added the gingham around the card, and added a linen thread double bow.  To complete the card I adhered the Santa with dimensionals to the Cherry Cobbler panel, and then the Cherry Cobbler panel to the card base.

Buzzing By To Say Hi

Supplies: Stamps: Whipper Snapper garden buzz, Great Impressions sentiment Paper: SU Melon Mambo and Gina K layering weight white Ink: Memento tuxedo black Accessories: Offray ribbon, Copic markers, Spellbinders rectangle nestabilities, Stampin Up layering circle framelits, Simon Says Stamp detail petal plate, 1 3/4 inch circle punch, sequins
Hello Stampers!  Today on Splitcoaststampers it is the sketch challenge. Here is a picture of the sketch.

To make this card I started with a melon mambo card base.  The next layer I used the detail petal plate to add some texture to the background.  For the focal image I stamped, colored, and die cut the image, and matted it in melon mambo.  I stamped another bee from the image, colored it, cut it out, and popped it up with a mini dimensional on the focal image.  Next I added some ribbon, and then it was onto the sentiment.  I stamped it on white cardstock, punched it out with the 1 3/4 inch circle punch, and matted it with one of the circles from the Stampin' Up layering circle framelits.  To finish the card I adhered all of the layers together.

For my card I die cut the reindeer and labels and adhered them together.  Then I used my stamp a ma jig to stamp the believe sentiment on the focal image.  I also turned the reindeer into Rudolph by adding a red pearl to the nose. Then I embossed the background panel, added some ribbon at the bottom of it, and adhered it to the card base.  Lastly I adhered the focal image to the background panel.  This was a fun card to CASE!

Happy Birthday To You

Supplies:  Stamps:  Whipper Snapper and Gina K Scripty Sayings  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: Bazzill Boysenberry Delight, Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plain Rainbow 6x6 paper pad, Gina K layering weight white  Accessories:  Gina K rectangle small and large rectangle die sets, ribbon from stash, copic markers, and dimensionals

Hello stampers!  Today's Clean and Simple card challenge on SCS is "What's the dirt?"  You are supposed to include dirt on your card.  I dug through my stamps and finally found one with dirt in the pot! It is surprising how few flower stamp images do not include the dirt! LOL!  So I colored my focal image in using copic markers.  I die cut it out of the small rectangle die set, and then die cut a rectangle in purple from the large rectangle die set.  And the rest of the card was layering the paper and adding the sentiment and ribbon.  Pretty quick card, except for the coloring.  That took awhile! That's all for now!

Sketch Challenge Snowman

Supplies:  Stamps: Whipper Snapper  Paper: GKD white and black  Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Accessories: Copic markers, tiny rhinestones, Cuttlebug embossing borders
I hope this finds you well.  I had some time to craft today and found some inspiration in the sketch challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.
The diagonal lines had me a little stumped.  But then I remembered that I had some Cuttlebug embossing borders from years ago.  I found a cute snowflake swirly border and started with that.  Then I needed to find an image.  I found this snowman from Whipper Snapper, and thought that would go well with the snowflakes.  I colored him in with copic markers, and popped it up on a black mat.  Then I glued all my layers together and added some teeny tiny rhinestones on the large snowflakes and I was done.

That's all for now,

Terri

Happy Heart Day

Supplies:  Stamps: Whipper Snapper and Stampendouse  Ink: GKD jet black amalgam  Paper: GKD heavy base weight white and real red  Accessories:  Lawn Fawn just stitching rectangles, copic markers, SU sizzlit

This was my kind of sketch this week, perfect for a clean and simple card.
I created the frame using the Lawn Fawn just stitching die cut.  Then I used my stamp a ma jig to stamp my focal image.  I colored the focal image and then had to decide on a heart.  I found an old Stampin Up sizzlit with a layered scalloped heart.  Lastly, I lucked out and had a tiny sentiment that fit inside the heart by Stampendous.

Thanks so much for looking!

When I saw the CAS challenge, Bands of Color, on SCS I thought of the Freshly Made Sketch by Kim from last week.  So, I made another card using that fabulous sketch.  This time I started with the bands of color, I really like the color combination of pink, red, and light blue.  Then I stamped and die cut my focal image.  I colored in the whale with copic markers, and adhered it to the card base with dimensionals.  Lastly, I got out my stamp a ma jig to stamp my sentiment.

That's all for now, thanks for stopping by!

Valentine Wishes

Supplies: Stamps: Whipper Snapper and Savvy Stamps  Ink: Gina K amalgam black ink  Paper: Gina K Artists's Choice and heavy base weight white  Accessories:  SU embossing folder, Score Buddy, SU rectangular thinlits, copic markers, dimensionals, Wink of Stella clear glitter marker

I'm back with another Valentine card.  This time my inspiration came from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.  You can see the sketch here:  A Sketch By Kim.  This sketch was a challenge for me.  I had a hard time deciding what to do for the diagonal lines of the challenge.  At first I had three different patterned papers picked out, but then figured out quickly that the patterns looked wonky when I cut them out on a diagonal.  Then I thought I would use washi tape, but I didn't have three patterns that went together.  So finally, I decided to use an embossing folder and my Score Buddy to add the diagonal aspect to this sketch card.  I am happy with the end result.

Just Bee Happy

Supplies: Stamps: Whipper Snapper  Paper: Gina K heavy base weight white, melon mambo, Recollections gingham paper  Ink:  Gina K Amalgam Ink  Accessories:  Spellbinders nestabilities, Offray white grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals

This week the Ways to Use It challenge on SCS was to use dimensionals on your focal image and your sentiment, and the Free for All challenge was to use winged things.  I still had this buzzy bee on my desk from earlier in the week and thought I would use it again, this time with it's fun sentiment!  I colored my focal image with copic markers and then popped it up with dimensionals.  Then added my sentiment popping this up even further than the focal image.  Lastly, I added some ribbon to tie it all together.

Supplies: Stamps: Whipper Snapper  Paper: Black Onyx Gina K, Gina K layering white, Papercut yellow gingham  Ink: Versamark  Accessories: Spellbinders Nestabilities scallop and plain oval, EK Success border punch, Offray black grosgrain ribbon, copic markers

Sunday brings us the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS.  This week the featured stamper is Jill.  The following card is the inspiration to the card I made today.  Jill colored the backside of her focal image after she stamped the front of the focal image.  This technique is what caught my eye in her gallery, and I used this technique to CASE her card.  I kept the layout the same and used a few different elements to finish off my card.

This week's CAS challenge on SCS is Hats Off.  I found this cute little penguin with a Santa hat on, and decided to use this as my focal image.  I colored the focal image with copic markers and die cut it into a circle and matted it with black paper.  I decided to use some Christmas lights patterned paper to coordinate with the penguin's tangled lights.

Happy Heart Day

Supplies: Stamps: Whipper Snapper Ink: Memento tuxedo black  Paper: Gina K layering and base weight white cardstock  Accessories: Hot Off The Press embossing folder, Doodlebug twine, circle nestabilities, copic markers, crystal effects, wink of stella marker clear

Hi!  Thought I would get a jump start on a Valentine card.  I made this with inspiration from the featured stamper challenge on SCS.  I cut out the partial circle, embossed the focal panel, added some twine, and adhered it to the card base.  Then I used my trusty stamp-a-ma-jig and stamped the heart bee.  I colored the image with copic markers, added wink of stella to the wings and heart.  Then I added crystal effects to the heart as well.  I wanted a little sentiment to fit in the cut out circle, but I couldn't find one that was just right!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Anniversary!

Congrats to the featured stamper on SCS, One4Joy.  What a fun gallery!  I chose this card to CASE.  I kept my card white, changed the orientation of the heart, and used a die cut for the heart.  I think this heart is so pretty, and wanted it to be the highlight of this card.  Thanks for stopping by!
