Exciting News!

Hello Stampers!!  I have been keeping a secret for a few weeks, and I am so excited to share my news!  I have been selected to be one of the Dirty Girls over at Splitcoaststampers!!!!  I am over the moon excited to be a part of this wonderful group of crafters!!

Supplies: Stamps: Stampendous Holy Family Ink: VersaMark Paper: Park Lane gold foil and Gina K heavy base weight ivory Accesories: Hero Arts Infinity oval dies, Memory Box Pinpoint Snowflake Plate, Stampin Up Wonder of the Season ribbon combo pack, gold embossing powder
This week Gem is the featured stamper over at Splitcoaststampers.  I found this card in her gallery to CASE.

I loved all of the piercing on her card, so I used the Memory Box Pinpoint Snowflake Plate to add piercing to my background.  I changed the orientation of the card to be a top folding card.  For the focal image I also used an oval frame.  I used gold accents to mat the focal image and added some gold cording at the bottom of the card.  My supply of Christmas cards is getting pretty big, soon I will be done!!  That would be a record for me to be done so early with my Christmas cards!!

Hello Stampers!  Today is the sketch challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  Here is a picture of the sketch:
I thought of a spider web when I saw the corner circle on this sketch, so I made a Halloween card.  I die cut the spider and web and adhered them to the grey background.  Then I used my piercing tool to make holes for the twine.  Lastly, I stamped my sentiment and popped up the grey panel on the black card base.  Easy peasy!

Hello Stampers!  For today's Clean and Simple challenge on Splitcoaststampers the theme is unbelievable or magical.  I thought of this unicorn set right away.  To make the card I started by making a mask for the puffy star.  Then I made a mask using the puffy cloud borders die.  Next I used blending brushes to add rainbow clouds to my star.  Once that was done, I used a stamp a ma jig to stamp on the sentiment.  After this I worked on the unicorn.  I stamped it onto watercolor paper and used the coordinating Distress Inks to watercolor the mane and tail of the unicorn, and then used a silver gel pen to color in the unicorn horn, nose, and hooves.  After this I fussy cut the unicorn and used a Memento tuxedo black marker to trace the edges.  I popped up the unicorn onto the card with some dimensionals.  To complete the card I added some sparkly silver and white twine to the top of the card.

Hello Stampers!  Today on Splitcoaststampers it is the Featured Stamper challenge.  The featured stamper this week is Linda, check out her gallery here.  I chose the following card as inspiration for my card:

For my card I also used a birthday wishes die cut.  I colored mine with Copic markers, and stayed with the blue theme that Linda had on her card.  Then I die cut the wonky frame die, adhered the birthday wishes die cut on it, and then matted it with some blue coordinating cardstock.  For the background I chose to emboss it rather than using patterned papers.  And that completes my card.

To make my card I started with the ornaments. I embossed them in silver and then used the coordinating die cuts to cut them out.  Then I attached some silver thread to the back of the ornaments.  Next I cut out the white and silver foil layers using Gina K's Master Layouts 2.  I really like the stitched edge that it has.  Then I adhered the ornaments to the white layer, and taped the silver thread to the back of the white layer.  Next I heat embossed the sentiment, and adhered the white layer to the silver mat.  To complete the card I chose to use a blue card base.

Hello Stampers!!  Does this layout look familiar?!  I couldn't resist, I had to make another card using the sketch challenge on SCS.  For this card I die cut the reindeer and then die cut a square around the reindeer.  Next I adhered a scallop square mat to the focal image.  I die cut a red nose and added it to the reindeer and also added googly eyes.  Then I adhered this to a kraft layer, and stamped my sentiment.  To finish the card I die cut a snowflake and background and popped it up on the corner of the square, and adhered the kraft layer to the white card base.
