Baptism Card

Supplies: Stamps: none Paper: white  Ink: none  Accessories: su border punch, scallop circle punch, 1 3/8 inch punch, score buddy, offray ribbon, filigree brad

My niece is getting baptized on Sunday, and my husband and I are the Godparents.  So I decided to make one of these gown cards.  I had been browsing SCS for some ideas and I thought they were all really sweet, and simple.  I needed simplicity as well as I didn't have much time to make the card.  I think it is cute!

Thanks so  much for stopping by!

GKD Congrats!

This is the third card I made for the Stamp TV challenges. For this challenge Lee wanted us to use one stamp set to create a background and the focal image. My sister-in-law is having a baby girl in a couple of months so I decided on a baby theme. I paper pieced the baby's outfit and stamped the heart using a template by Prinkworks to stamp evenly. I added a sentiment and I was done!

Just Ducky!

I found out a few days ago that I am going to be an auntie again! Yeah! It sure seems as though a lof of people are getting pregnant these days! We are all pretty excited and suprised about the news! So I decided to make a baby card! I made this card after making the butterfly cards. I found another background stamp, this one is by savvy stamps. I had wanted to use my duck punch by ek success but the duck was way to small for the circle. So I used my quickutz duck die cut instead. It's pretty cute too! The sentiment is a studio g $ acrylic set. Thanks for looking!

Welcome Baby

This is a CAS sketch from last week on SCS. I did actually make it last week, but was too busy to post all of the details. For the envelope I followed Julie's tutorial on making a square card fit in an a2 envelope! I think it turned out so cute, and my card won't be moving around in the envelope! Since this is a CAS card I will simply list the recipe!

Paper: GKD white and brown, PP: My Girl Tiny Flower by Pebbles

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and copic markers

Ribbon: LSS

Punch for envelope: McGill

Thanks for stopping by, keep checking in I have more cards to post!

Oh Baby!

Everyone is having babies in our family! So here is another baby card for a baby shower! I used one of the sketches for the Verve Release Challenge: VSJUN05. This pickles and ice cream pattern paper is an old pattern paper that I stocked up on, because I thought it would be fun for mommies-to-be! It was made by treehouse designs, I tried doing a google search to find it but didn't have much luck. The focal image and sentiment are from the Amuse set: Baby Wishes. I colored the image with copic markers, and embossed it with nestabilities. The brown cardstock is by GKD and I embossed it with the CB baby embossing folder. The scalloped edge was made with Martha Stewart's mini heart scallop border punch. The ribbon is by American Crafts. For the sentiment I stamped it rich cocoa and punched it out with a 1 inch circle punch. Then I used the ek success 1 1/4 inch scallop circle punch to mat it. The bottom of the card is embossed using the CB swiss dots embossing folder.

Stamp TV Sketch

I made this card for the Stamp TV sketch challenge! My cousin had a baby boy last week, so I will be sending this to her! I used my sizzix large scallop circle die to cut out the card. Then I pierced the scalloped edge. Next I cut out two circles white and light blue, and embossed the light blue with the CB EF swiss dots. For the focal image (by stampabilities) I stamped it in memento tuxedo black and colored a few accents in with copic markers, and outlined it in prismacolor: cold stone. The buttons are cut out using the sizzix button sizzlit, and I added dmc floss to the center. The sentiment is by studio G, I stamped it on a strip of light blue paper, and made it into a banner. I used my 1/4 inch square punch to make the triangle edges on it.

Mojo Monday

This is a card I made for the Mojo Monday Sketch (see sidebar for link). Since it is the first sketch of the month it is also a contest, where you can win a free set from the Verve Store! So head over to the Mojo Monday Site and give the sketch a try!

This card is for my husband's cousin who had a baby girl this week. The elephant is from Stampin' Up called, Just Celebrate. I stamped on Gina K. cardstock using rich cocoa memento ink and colored it in with my copic markers. I then outlined it in Prismacolor Cold Stone. The image was cut out and embossed using the square nestabilities. Next I matted it used the scallop square nestabilities and pierced the scallops. The sentiment is from Papertrey's Mixed Messages set. I cut it out using a 5/8 inch circle punch and then matted it with a cuttlebug flower. The ribbon behind the sentiment is by Martha Stewart.

For the circle I punched out a 1 1/2 inch circle of the Autumn Leaves patterned paper: Paper Precious. Then matted it using SU scallop circle punch, and pierced the scallops as well. The flower is by prima and I added a self adhesive pearl. The brown strip is cuttlebugged with the swiss dots folder. For the border I punched out the Martha Stewart scallop heart border, and edged it with American Crafts swiss dot brown ribbon to match the bottom. Then I made my first attempt at using my Janome sewing machine on a card?! I practiced a few times, and then just went for it. I am happy with the results and will be using this technique more often! This was a fun sketch, hope you go and give it a try!!
