I'll rise, but I refuse to shine

Supplies: Stamps: Art Impressions, Stampin Up chicken wire background stamp Ink: Stampin Up crumb cake and Memento tuxedo black Paper: Stampin Up crumb cake, Gina K black onyx and white layering weight Accessories: ribbon from stash, Copic markers, Gina K square die cut

Hello Stampers!  The Clean and Simple challenge on Splitcoaststampers is to use a chick or a chicken.  I had to chuckle when I saw this was the theme.  Yesterday when I was going through some of my supplies I came across these stamps, and thought I have never used these and they are so funny (and totally me I am NOT a morning person)!  Then I saw today's challenge and had to use these images.

To make my card I started with a crumb cake card base, then a black mat, and I stamped the chicken wire onto white.  For the focal image I stamped the chicken, colored it, and die cut it using a double stitched square die cut.  Then I planned out the crumb cake mat to make it large enough to include the ribbon and sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of the crumb cake layer, added the ribbon, and adhered the focal image to it.  I matted this with some black cardstock and adhered it to the card.

That's all for now, thanks so much for stopping by!!

Silhouette Birthday Wishes

Supplies: Stamps: Gina K Wild Blossom Paper: Gina K black onyx and white Ink: VersaFine Clair Nocturne and Distress Inks: seedless preserves, spun sugar, spiced marmalade, mustard seed Accessories: Gina K Master Layouts 2

Hello Stampers!  It is Sunday and it is time for the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  This week's featured stamper is Pat.  This is the card I chose from her gallery:

For my card I kept the colors the same for the blending.  My spun sugar was kinda dry so my blending isn't as seamless as I would have liked.  I stamped my silhouette image and sentiment using my Misti.  I matted the focal panel with some black, and adhered it to the white card base.  To finish the card I added some gems.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Bunny Birthday Greetings

Supplies: Stamps: Colorado Craft Company: Birthday Wishes Paper: SU grey granite and Distress Watercolor Cardstock Ink: VersaFine CLAIR nocturne, Distress Inks: worn lipstick, spun sugar, and pumice stone  Accessories:  linen thread

Hello Stampers!  It's been awhile, school is keeping me busy and I'm so tired by the time I get home.  So I was determined to make a card today!  I of course went to see who the Featured Stamper was on Splitcoaststampers, and as I was browsing Elizabeth's gallery I found this clean and simple card to CASE.

To make my card I stamped my image using a waterproof ink so I could do some watercoloring.  I'm not very good at watercoloring but I thought the bunny would look good with a watercolored look.  So I used my distress inks and gave it a go.  After I colored in the image I stamped my sentiment and added some linen thread instead of ribbon.  To finish the card I adhered the focal panel to my grey card base.  And that finished my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

April Showers

Supplies: Stamps: Stampendous Ink: Memento tuxedo black Paper: Gina K heavy base weight white Accessories: Copic markers, Doodlebug twine, My Favorite Things stitched arch stax

Hello Stampers!  Today's clean and simple challenge on Splitcoaststampers is the theme "April Showers."  I thought of this cute image when I read the theme.  To make the card I diecut the arch die, placed it on the card base where I thought it looked good, then I gently traced the inside of the arch.  Next I used my stamp a ma jig to stamp my focal image onto the card base.  I colored in the image, added some twine to the focal panel, and then adhered the focal panel to the card base with some dimensionals.

That's all for now, thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Easter!

Supplies: Stamps: Inkadinkado Paper: Gina K heavy and light weight white and SU melon mambo Ink: Memento tuxedo black Accessories: SU stitched square die, SU ribbon, Copic markers, Simon Says Stamp detail ringlet plate
Hello Stampers!  Today is the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  The Featured Stamper is Heather.  Here is the card that I CASED:

To make my card I stamped, colored, and die cut my focal image.  Then I added the ribbon treatment and added a melon mambo mat.  For the background I used a piercing plate instead of an embossing folder, so I couldn't stamp a sentiment on mine.

That's all for now!  Thanks for stopping by!!

Ho! Ho! Ho!

Supplies: Stamps: Essentials by Ellen Holiday Characters and SU Good GreetingsPaper: Gina K heavy base weight white and kraft Ink: Memento tuxedo black Accessories: Essentials by Ellen Alpine Snowfall and Holiday Characters dies, SU linen thread, Copic markers, pom pom

Hello Stampers!  It's been a tiring week as I went back to school after Spring Break.  Needless to say I was too tired to make cards after school.  I cannot wait until summer, the countdown is on!!

Today is the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  The Featured Stamper is Mary Ellen.  And here is the card that I CASED.

For my card I used kraft paper instead of light blue behind my Santa.  And instead of adding a tree I used snowflakes in my circle.  I kept the same sentiment flag, and added some linen thread at the top of the card to tie it altogether.  I'm happy to add another Christmas card to my stash! :)

That's all for now, thanks for stopping by!

Sunflower Birthday Wishes

Supplies: Stamps:  Gina K Ink: Memento tuxedo black Paper: Gina K heavy base weight white and black onyx Accessories: linen thread, Copic markers, and Spellbinders rectangle nestabilities

Hello Stampers and Happy Easter!!  I am at the tail end of my Spring Break, it was wonderful having some time off.  Especially the last couple of days have been in the upper 60's!!  So I was able to get some Spring cleaning done in the shed and the garage, and even cleaned out all of the salt from my car.  So it better not snow any more!!

Today is the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  This week's featured stamper is Cara.  I selected the following card as inspiration for my card:

To make the card I started by die cutting the rectangle out of white paper.  Then I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp my sunflower image and the sentiment.  Next I colored the focal image with Copic markers.  For the ribbon treatment I decided to place it in the corner since my sunflowers didn't have as long of a stem as Cara's did.  I matted the focal image onto black like Cara, and then adhered that to my card base to finish the card.

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter!!
