Hello Stampers! I got a bonus day off today due to the blizzard we are having right now! So I took my cup of coffee into my craft room and got to work. This card is for two challenges. One being the Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers: Timber. And the other challenge is using the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.
For my card I started with the frame. I die cut the wood grain frame, and then die cut a white panel for the inside of the frame. I stamped my focal image onto this white panel and colored it in with Copic markers. Next I framed the "arch" by blending Tumbled Glass ink onto the top portion of the white panel. To the sky I die cut some whittle clouds and adhered them onto the ink blended sky. For the sentiment I stamped and die cut it with a sentiment strip die. Then I was stuck. I wasn't sure what to do with the sprigs that are on the sketch. I tried grass, but that didn't look right. So I went through my dies and found a flourish die. It had similar leaves as the focal image, so I die cut two flourishes and cut them apart. I adhered them flourishes to the card base and then popped up the sentiment. I kept the inside of the card simple by die cutting a wood grain frame and stamping a sentiment.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Terri
