Hello Stampers! I made this card for the Free 4 All challenge on Splitcoaststampers: Let's Chill. I chose to use an ice cream cone as an example of a way to cool down in the summer. I wanted to create a twist cone, but I couldn't find a nice shade of brown with my Copic markers. So I got out my colored pencils and I was able to find the colors I was looking for. I colored my image with colored pencils and blended them with Gamsol. Then it was a matter of figuring out the layers. I started by die cutting the ice cream cone, and matting it was a vellum layer. Then found a patterned paper and matted it with Bermuda Bay and adhered this to my card base. To finish the card I die cut and adhered the word celebrate, and added a twine bow.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Terri
